Item type: Ítem , Access status: Acceso Abierto , Metodologías para el desarrollo de las capacidades coordinativas en futbolistas adolescentes: revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2026) Parra Ochoa, Pablo Sebastián; Jarrin Navas, Santiago Alejandro; 0301852810Nowadays, there are many different soccer training programs available, as soccer is a very popular sport that is constantly played in schools, high schools, and universities in Ecuador, to the point that it has become a planned discipline within the area of physical education, where instructors take advantage of this recreational or sporting physical activity to encourage students to develop conditional and coordinative skills while enjoying the practice. This article aims to detail a compilation of viable methodologies for developing coordination skills in adolescent soccer players through an exhaustive qualitative literature review, as its variables focus on interpretation rather than measuring numerical variables. The study has focused on reliable articles from sources such as Scopus, Dialnet, and others that provide reliable information, resulting in a collection of 21 articles that enrich the research on the proposed topic. It is concluded that combining physical and neuromuscular training with techniques and games can improve performance and reduce the risk to players in the field. Considering that decision-making in sports is a process that integrates several aspects, such as self-confidence, motivation, concentration, and emotion, along with each of their subcategories. Keywords: methodologies, coordination skills, discipline, and sportsItem type: Ítem , Access status: Acceso Abierto , Clima en el deporte generado por el entrenador y percibido por las futbolistas de la categoría femenil del club Progreso F.C. temporada 2025-2026(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2026) Romero Guaman, Jesufer Santiago; Torres Palchisaca, Zoila Guillermina; 0350294567Sport climate is considered a psychosocial factor of great relevance in sport, due to its influence on both mental and physical well-being, promoting continued participation in sports, with the coach being a key agent in this context. Within this framework, the aim of this research was to analyze the sport climate generated by the coach as perceived by female soccer players of Club Progreso F.C., conducting a quantitative, cross-sectional study in which the Coach-Athlete Relationship (CART-Q) and Sport Climate Questionnaire (S-SCQ) were administered. The population comprised 30 female soccer players, selected through non-probabilistic purposive sampling, who agreed to participate and signed informed consent. Reliability analyses showed adequate internal consistency of the instruments used. In the descriptive analysis, the sport climate had a mean of 5.96, while the perception of the coach–athlete relationship reached an overall mean of 6.61, with the commitment dimension being the highest at 6.88 on a 1-to-7 scale. Bivariate correlation analysis did not reveal statistically significant associations between perceived motivational climate and the dimensions of the coach–athlete relationship. This result indicates that the perception of the motivational climate is not directly related to the appraisal of closeness, commitment, and complementarity in the coach–athlete relationship. Furthermore, although these dimensions are positively associated with one another, they do not reach statistical significance and thus appear to operate relatively independently. Keywords: sport climate, coach, female footballers, motivation, coach-athlete relationshipItem type: Ítem , Access status: Acceso Abierto , Bailoterapia, factores motivacionales en usuarios de 20-50 años que asisten al parque Miraflores en la ciudad de Cuenca periodo 2025-2026(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2026) Quintana Moreira, Paulina Catalina; González, Nanci de la Nube; 0107356644This study aims to identify the motivational factors influencing the practice of dance fitness among women aged 20 to 50 who attend Miraflores Park in Cuenca during the 2025–2026. The study used a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross- sectional design and a descriptive scope. The population consisted of 100 female participants selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Motives for Physical Activities Measure–Revised (MPAM-R) questionnaire, which assesses five motivational dimensions: fitness/health, appearance, competence, social, and enjoyment. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software version 25, including descriptive statistics, reliability coefficients, and correlation analysis. The results showed that motivation related to fitness/health had the highest mean score, followed by the enjoyment and competence dimensions, indicating that dance fitness practice is mainly oriented toward physical well-being, personal satisfaction, and self-improvement. In contrast, motivation associated with appearance and the social factor showed moderate and lower scores, respectively. Likewise, positive and significant correlations were identified among the motivational dimensions, highlighting the relationship between competence and enjoyment. It is concluded that dance fitness represents an effective alternative for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles in the adult population, and that strengthening the predominant motivational factors is essential to foster adherence and continuity in practice. Keywords: dance fitness, motivational factors, physical activity, holistic well-being.Item type: Ítem , Access status: Acceso Abierto , Beneficios del entrenamiento pliométrico sobre la potencia en futbolistas adolescentes: revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2026) Espinoza Calle, Ronaldo Josué; Guillén Campoverde, Leonardo Fabián; 0302617022Plyometric training is an effective method for developing muscular power in soccer, especially in actions that require strength and speed, such as jumping and changes of direction. This study aimed to analyze the benefits of plyometric training on power in adolescent soccer players, considering the specific physiological and neuromuscular characteristics of this developmental stage. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive scope, through a literature review of scientific studies published from 2018 to the present. Twelve relevant studies were selected, including scientific articles, systematic reviews, and theses, obtained from various academic databases. The results show that plyometric training leads to significant improvements in lower-limb power, vertical jump, and explosive strength in adolescent soccer players, provided that its implementation is progressive, planned, and technically supervised. Furthermore, it has been identified that the effectiveness of this type of training depends on biological development, training level, and the correct dosage of the load. In conclusion, plyometric training represents a valid and safe strategy for enhancing physical performance in adolescent soccer players when it is adjusted to the demands of soccer at the formative stage. This study examined the motivational factors for physical activity among users of the Panda Gym in Cuenca, using the Motives for Physical Activity Measure-Revised (M-PAM-R) questionnaire. A quantitative, cross-sectional, and correlational approach was used, with a convenience sample of 92 participants (50 men and 42 women). The results showed that enjoyment and fitness/health are the most predominant factors, followed by competition and appearance, with social motives being the least relevant. This leads to the conclusion that motivation within this group is mostly intrinsic, which reinforces the theory of self-determination and leads to longer-term adherence. This analysis helps to propose strategies for developing gym-based programs, emphasizing enjoyment and comprehensive health benefits over aesthetic or social perspectives, thereby contributing to more effective strategies in urban physical activity contexts. The increase in internet and mobile phone use among university students is associated with sedentary behaviors that affect physical and emotional well-being. The research was followed a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design and correlational scope, using the short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and the Problematic Use of New Technologies Questionnaire (UPNT, by its Spanish acronym). The results reveal an inverse relationship between problematic internet and mobile phone use and vigorous physical activity, as well as weekly energy expenditure, and a positive relationship with sedentary time. Although some students demonstrated moderate to high levels of physical activity, the daily average of 240 minutes spent in a sedentary position represents concerning habits. The findings are consistent with national and international studies on the impact of excessive screen use on unhealthy lifestyles. In conclusion, it is important to promote institutional strategies to encourage physical activity and a balanced use of digital technology in order to improve students’ overall well-being. Despite their benefits, factors such as a lack of space and a lack of awareness limit active participation. The research aimed to analyze the physical, psychological, and social benefits that recreational activities confer on older adults demonstrating, through a literature review, their impact on overall well-being. Methodologically, a documentary and descriptive study was conducted through a systematic literature review of academic sources (2005–2025) in databases such as Dialnet, Redalyc, and Scielo. The results demonstrate that physical activity prevents cardiovascular and biological deterioration. Psychologically, it serves as a key construct for strengthening self-esteem and cognitive health, while socially, it combats isolation through group integration. It is concluded that recreation is a pillar of active and dignified aging. Therefore, it is imperative to integrate these programs into public health policies as therapeutic and preventive strategies, ensuring strategic designs adapted to the specific needs and interests of the older adult population.
