METODOLOGÍA PARA LA ENSEÑANZA DEL REGATE EN EL FÚTBOL CATEGORÍA PRE-JUVENIL
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Cajamarca Curillo, Freddy Geovanny; Bravo Navarro, Wilson Hernando; 0302498357
This study aimed to evaluate the dribbling technique of the Azogues Junior football club players through the validated Mor-Christian General Soccer Ability Skill Test Battery to determine the current state of the athletes. The research was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive, with a quantitative approach using non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The sample comprised 20 players from the "Azogues Juniors" football school in Azogues, Cañar, aged 12 to 14 years old. The best results were obtained in the straight line exercise with an average of 11.5 sec., followed by the triangle exercise with a mean of 12.5 sec., and finally, the circle exercise with a time of 12.8 sec. It was found that male players performed better than females in all test exercises. The study was of great importance as it helped to evaluate the current state of the athletes and thus take future actions to improve this technical element. METODOLOGÍA PARA EL APRENDIZAJE DE LOS FUNDAMENTOS TÉCNICOS EN EL PATINAJE DE VELOCIDAD
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Argudo Calle, César Bolívar; Ávila Mediavilla, Carlos Marcelo; 0302391628
This research originates from the limited knowledge of the teaching-learning methods of the technique and the scarce application by the coaches in training sessions; thus, this research aims to identify the methodologies applied by coaches in the teaching-learning process of the technical fundamentals of speed skating, through applied research for the methodological improvement of skating technique. For this, a non-experimental, exploratory, and descriptive study was proposed. It was cross-sectional, non-probabilistic, and intentional. The population comprised 33 individuals and a census criterion, to whom an instrument validated by expert opinion with ten research variables was applied. It was found that coaches partially know and apply teaching-learning methodologies of speed skating in such a way that 46% of respondents know and apply the demonstrative-explanatory methodology. Additionally, Chi-Square statistical tests were performed with values lower than the p-value of 0.05 (Bilateral Asymptotic Sig. 0.000 < 0.05), confirming statistically significant dependencies that provide certainty of improvements in the performance of speed skating sports practices. It is concluded that coaches know and apply the methodologies; however, bivariate dependencies should be taken into account to improve professional performance indicators significantly. PROGRAMA DE ENSEÑANZA APRENDIZAJE PARA MEJORAR LA TÉCNICA DE RECEPCIÓN EN VOLEIBOL
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Garcia Parra, Bryan Andrés; González, Nanci de la Nube; 1401241367
This study aimed to improve the reception technique in volleyball through a guide of exercises that integrates individual and collective activities. A non-experimental longitudinal design was used, with a quantitative approach and descriptive scope; three critical subcategories of analysis provided by the FIVB were identified: Posture (P), Ball Contact (C), and After Impact (DI by its Spanish acronym). Each subcategory included five indicators, and an observation form was developed with 15 assessment criteria based on the mentioned subcategories. The study sample comprised 21 athletes from the Sports Federation of Morona Santiago, aged 10 and 12; 15 girls and six boys, who faced difficulties perfecting their reception technique in the game. Among the most outstanding results, there was a clear tendency for errors in the reception subcategory of the serve, as evidenced by the general averages associated with this area, which were noticeably higher than the other subcategories. After implementing the proposed exercises, the different assessment periods significantly decreased average error rates. In conclusion, implementing individual and collective exercises substantially improved participants' reception. This finding supports the effectiveness of a holistic strategy incorporating individual and collective exercises to rectify the technical deficiencies identified in volleyball reception. Hábitos alimenticios y actividad física en futbolistas de 12 a 18 años
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Pesántez Avendaño, César David; Jarrrín Navas, Santiago Alejandro; 0302227756
This research aims to determine the eating habits and physical activity of soccer players aged 12 to 18. The study has a cross-sectional experimental design. The methodology used involved interviewing the players to know their dietary habits, as well as their meal frequency and the different kinds of food they eat were analyzed. The results revealed that most of the respondents are guided by the price of the food when consuming it, and many do not consider the ingredients and calories supplied by these foods. The dietary habits demonstrate a general lack of awareness about the proper nutrition necessary to optimize training and calorie burning in soccer player development. It was concluded that soccer players must be conscious about their dietary habits and the benefits they provide for improving their nutritional status and physical development during training sessions and on the field.

Actividad física y sedentarismo en los adolescentes de 14-16 años de la ciudad de Azogues
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Mora Delgado , Cesar Ismael; Jarrín Navas, Santiago Alejandro; 0350093092
This research refers to physical activity and sedentarism, understanding that physical activity is the body's muscles' movements to lead a healthy and balanced life. A sedentary lifestyle has been a problem for many years, and people have not seen it as essential to perform physical activity, even ignoring the benefits of this practice. This study analyzed physical activity and sedentarism in adolescents aged 14-16 within the Azogues educational framework in the ‘Juan Bautista Vásquez’ Educational Unit. The research methodology was quantitative; a survey was the instrument for data collection. It was applied to 40 Basic Education and High School students from the institution mentioned above, showing that sedentary lags are still perceived in adolescent students being able to contract chronic diseases, overweight, or obesity caused by the lack of physical activity; so they maintain a certain high percentage of demotivation and situations of sedentary complexity, and at the same time they know the benefits of physical activity; however, they do not practice it. It was determined that there is sedentarism in adolescents.
