Diseño de prototipo de panelmóvil ampliable multifuncional
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Barrazueta Calle, Jaime Alexander; Mogrovejo Arias, María José; 0303134829
The organization and design of architectural spaces frequently faceencounter inflexibility caused by partitioning elements like walls and partitions, which restrict space. This graduation project aims to design a mobile, expandable, multifunctional panel prototype using technological innovations. The methodology was based on a theoretical analysis and case studies to obtain a conceptual framework for the panel design. The design of the element was conducted using two approaches: a functional one, which demonstrates its viability within the scope of flexibility in architecture, and a constructive one, which shows the possibility of creating elements by incorporating feasible materials that enable its execution. Finally, the prototype was schematized within different architectural spaces to assess and analyze its importance and efficiency in multifunctional environments in renovations of existing spaces and new projects. This aspect allowed the proposal to be demonstrated as a flexible solution for transform rigid architectural designs into adaptable, versatile, transformable, and variable environments. The schematization of the prototype revealed that this is an element that improves and increases the functions within reduced environments or with rigid spaces, evidencing a remarkable optimization of space and demonstrating the effectiveness and versatility of the prototype. Keywords: flexibility, mobile, expandable, multifunctional, panel.

Hemorragia postparto: etiología, y tratamiento. Revisión Sistemática
(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Jaramillo González, Jessenia Fernanda; Rodas Torres, Américo; 0301853289
Background: Postpartum hemorrhage is the primary obstetric complication since it causes abundant blood loss, leading to hemodynamic compromise after childbirth, and is considered one of the three main causes of maternal morbidity and mortality. Objective: To determine the etiology, management, and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage through a systematic review. Methodology: The study used the PRISMA 2020 methodology for systematic reviews, establishing search strategies in databases such as PubMed, Medline, Google Scholar, Cochrane, Elsevier, SciELO, and Scopus. After analyzing the articles and based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 15 valid studies were obtained, addressing the question: What is the etiology, management method, and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage? Results: This systematic review showed that uterine atony is the prevalent factor in PPH, especially in cases of severe hemorrhages. Genital organ trauma and retained tissues were also identified as risk factors, while management of the third stage of labor was the most commonly used approach for PPH. Conclusions: Obstetric professionals must be vigilant about the characteristics of hemorrhage to determine its etiology and treatment since it is an emergency that has even caused the death of some women after childbirth. Keywords: pregnancy, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal morbidity, puerperium, postpartum
