- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoCalidad de atención de enfermería y satisfacción en el control prenatal a nivel de Latinoamérica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Aguilar Arpi, Elizabeth Alexandra; Uzhca Ramon , Jessica Michelle; Espinoza Aguirre, Karina Mercedes; 0106408438; 0107061640Introduction: Prenatal care consists of several activities related to medical history, interviews, and home visits. A group of health workers monitors gestation, delivery preparation, and the newborn's raising. However, when we talk about quality care, the emphasis is on excellence in treating the patient to obtain optimal results from health services. Objective: To describe the quality of nursing care and satisfaction in prenatal care in Latin America. Methodology: Narrative descriptive bibliographic review. The inclusion criteria include original articles no more than five years old and extracted from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, SciELO, and Redalyc, among others. Articles published more than five years ago, and theses were excluded. Results: The articles reviewed indicate that pregnant women's perception of nursing care is not specific since most nurses are limited to taking vital signs, anthropometric measurements, promotion, prevention, and immunization. Conclusion: Pregnant women’s perspective on the service provided by the nursing professional during prenatal care in Latin America is satisfactory concerning the attention received during care, thanks to the skills and abilities demonstrated during the gestation period.
