Traditional medicine is not divorced from this criterion since it is known as a set of knowledge, beliefs, and customs inherited from generation to generation, being used to prevent, diagnose and suppress physical and intellectual diseases, thus contributing to maintaining an excellent quality of life of individuals who opt for traditional medicine. Objective: To research hot/cold-related diseases in the human being on a Latin American country scale. Methodology: This article was performed through a narrative-type bibliographic review, in digital scientific databases and analogical documents, obtaining a total of 51 scientific documents used for the development of this investigation. Results: After the analysis of different scientific documents, it was possible to identify that Latin America has several conceptions about hot/cold- related diseases, which are originated from an imbalance in the state of health. Traditional doctors provide attention to these pathologies with different healing techniques. Conclusion: In Latin America, the hot/cold-related diseases are presented by an imbalance in the health, the traditional agents treat these ailments with natural elements with opposite qualities to the disease, which help to stabilize the vitality of the individual.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoSíndrome de Burnout en el personal de salud asociado a Covid-19(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Celi Rivas, Cinthya Dayana; Pauta Aguirre, Estefanía Andrea; Campoverde Barros, Jhoana Elizabeth; 1105131526; 0105979439Burnout syndrome is presented as a response to chronic occupational stress in front-line health professionals in the face of the SARS-COV-2 virus, whose development is linked to ineffective response to the use of coping strategies for occupational stressors. Objective: To carry out a literature review on Burnout Syndrome in health personnel associated with COVID-19. Methodology: A bibliographic search was carried out in scientific databases such as Scopus, Proquest, Science Direct, Ovid, Taylor & Francis, Web of Science, Pubmed, Scielo, Dialnet, and institutional pages associated with the health area, including 56 documents of which 18 were used in the introduction and 47 answered the research questions. Results: From the data analyzed, a higher prevalence of Burnout was found in Saudi Arabia with 75%; as for the predisposing factors to its appearance, it is associated with a greater workload, use of protective clothing; among the main symptoms are: headache, insomnia, lack of concentration, suicidal ideas, decreased productivity; likewise, the therapeutic approach is based on the use of behavioral therapies or prevention programs and finally, as a recommendation, the promotion, and prevention of this syndrome in health institutions and personal practices is suggested. Conclusion: Burnout syndrome associated with COVID-19 has come to affect health personnel at the physical, psychological-behavioral, and occupational levels; there are a variety of therapies around it.

Revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Carrera Arévalo, Verónica Janella; Tepán Cochancela, Denisse Estefany; Campoverde Barros, Jhoana Elizabeth; 0105545214; 0150269835Introduction: Gender violence in women is a public health problem, according to the World Health Organization it is estimated that out of every three women one has been a victim of physical or sexual violence causing damage to women's health, therefore, nurses must act effectively and timely in cases of violence. Main objective: To investigate gender violence in women worldwide. Methodology: The present research corresponds to a bibliographic review carried out in the following scientific databases: Scopus, Taylor & Francis, Science Direct, PubMed, Researchgate, Jaypee Digital, Dialnet, ProQuest, SciELO, using Health descriptors articulated by the Boolean operator "AND", obtaining a total of 72 documents. Results: It was found that in Europe there is a higher prevalence of gender violence, predominantly psychological, physical, and sexual; as the main factor is located gender discrimination; having consequences such as injuries, low self-esteem, sexually transmitted diseases, social isolation, among others; being able to lead to femicide; the reason why protocols of care have been developed worldwide for nursing staff to safeguard the integrity of the victims. Conclusions: Gender violence is present worldwide, causing damage to women's health; for this reason, nurses should know the protocols for action in cases of this violence.
