Albergue de estancia temporal y talleres para mujeres víctimas de maltrato intrafamiliar en situación de pobreza en la Ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

The research focuses on the design of a temporary shelter with workshops for women victims of domestic abuse living in poverty in Cuenca, addressing the lack of adequate infrastructure for their support. The justification is the urgent need for a safe shelter and comprehensive support, facilitating their recovery and social reintegration. This project holds significant social importance because it reduces gender-based violence and offers a replicable model for other cities. This study aims to design a shelter that includes accommodation, legal and psychological support areas, and training workshops to promote women's economic and emotional independence. The study is descriptive and applied, focusing on women victims of violence in Cuenca, with data collection at the city level indicating the points and areas of influence based on parishes. The results revealed the feasibility of the proposed design, improving the quality of life for affected women and providing economic, social, and scientific benefits by fostering a safer and more equitable community.
