Resumen
ntercultural birth is not only aimed at indigenous mothers, its purpose is to recover
a more human dimension of childbirth, to make women a protagonist of this
process and to value their rights. General Objective: To analyze the experiences
of intercultural birth in women attended in the Basic Hospital of the Paute cantan,
May-August 2018. Methodology: quantitative, descriptive, ethnographic and
cross-sectional study. Sample: Consisted of 11 postpartum women taken in the
Basic Hospital of the Paute cantan, the information obtained, coded, tabulated and
analyzed through statistical graphs, identifying the problems that arise during
intercultural delivery. Results: the age of women between 16-25 years old (45%),
they are 100% mestizo ethnic group, 55% free un ion, 64% knowledge of the option
of intercultural birth, a similar percentage refers to the lack of knowledge of benefits
(64%), ignorance of the types of positions far childbirth 55%, 55% of postpartum
women use the supine position to give birth, 64% of the staff does not allow them
to choose the position, 55% of the staff never told them about the positions, only
10% of the staff gave them emotional support, 45% of the companions were
present in the postpartum, of them represented 36% by the husband, 82% of the
women were not shaved pubic hair, 64% believe that intercultural delivery prevents
more natal and neonatal deaths, 91 % did not allow them to take natural waters
befare childbirth, the same percentage, they asked them what they wanted to do
with the placenta, 100% did not they allowed cort In the umbilical cord, 45% were
delivered to the child at 5 minutes of age. Conclusion: In the basic Hospital of the
Paute cantan, the protocols are not correctly applied at the moment of attending
the intercultural delivery.

El parto intercultural no solo está dirigido a las madres indígenas, su propósito es
recuperar una dimensión más humana del parto, convertir a la mujer en
protagonista de este proceso y valorar sus derechos. Objetivo General: Analizar
las experiencias del parto intercultural en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital Básico
del cantón Paute, período Mayo-Agosto 2018.Metodología: estudio cuantitativo,
descriptivo, de modalidad etnográfica y de corte transversal. Muestra: Constituido
por 11 mujeres postparto captadas en el Hospital Básico del cantón Paute, la
información fue obtenida, codificada, tabulada y analizada a través de gráficos
estadísticos, identificando los problemas que se presentan durante el parto
intercultural. Resultados: la edad de las mujeres entre los 16-25 años (45%), son
de etnia mestiza 100%, unión libre el 55%, conocimientos de la opción del parto
intercultural el 64% si posee , desconocimiento de los beneficios (64%),
desconocimiento de los tipos de posiciones para el parto 55%, el 55% de las
mujeres postparto utilizan la posición supina para dar a luz, el 64% del personal
no les permite elegir la posición, el 55% del personal nunca les indico sobre las
posiciones, el 91 % del personal les brindó apoyo emocional, el 45% de los
acompañantes estuvieron presentes en el postparto, de ellos representado el 36%
por el esposo, el 82% de mujeres no fueron rasuradas el vello púbico, el 64% cree
que la realización del parto intercultural previene más muertes natales y
neonatales, el 91 %
no les permitieron tomar aguas naturales antes del parto, igual
porcentaje les preguntaron que deseaban hacer con la placenta, al 100% no les
permitieron cortar el cordón umbilical, al 45% les entregaron al niño a los 5
minutos de nacido. Conclusión: En el Hospital básico del cantón Paute, no se
aplica correctamente los protocolos al momento de atender el parto intercultural.
