Ítem Acceso Abierto Influencia de la práctica de ejercicio físico en mujeres embarazadas. Revisión bibliográfica.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Barreto Barreto, Johanna Estefanía; Aldas Arcos , Helder Guillermo; 0107275471Pregnancy and physical exercise are often seen as contradictory for women, as society and even women generally believe that exercise may jeopardize the health and life of the baby. Therefore, trainers must understand the physiological changes associated with exercise during pregnancy. This research aims to conduct a literature review of the main benefits of physical exercise for pregnant women. The research design was non-experimental, and the main methods used to develop the study were a literature review and descriptive, synthetic, deductive, and historical-logical approaches. Scientific articles on the influence of physical exercise on pregnant women from the past four years were searched using six databases. The results revealed the benefits of physical exercise during pregnancy, including significant reductions in cesarean births, gestational diabetes mellitus, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, excessive gestational weight gain, pelvic floor strengthening, and improved mental health, including reduced anxiety and depression. Keywords: physical exercise, pregnant women, benefits, recommendations
