Ítem Solo Metadatos "Factores éticos que influyen en la toma de decisiones gerenciales en el sector cooperativo"(Universidad Católica de Cuenca, 2023) Mainato Pomavilla, Juana Belén; Orbe Guaraca, Priscila; 030178766-3Nowadays, it has become noticeable that there is decision-making without ethical quality in the credit union industry. It has given rise to social, economic, and institutional regulatory problems. In Cañar city, unreliable principles have led leaders not to make transparent decisions, forgetting that ethical factors are essential in management. This research aimed to analyze the ethical factors that influence decision-making in management in the credit union industry in Cañar. Several Savings and Credit Cooperatives such as: “Cañar Ltd,” “Yuyay,” “Mushuc Runa,” “Achik Inti,” “Fernando Daquilema,” “Sol de los Andes,” “CB Cooperativa,” “Cooperco Ltd,” “Coopac Austro Ltd,” and “Atlántida” collaborated in developing this research. The methodology used was quantitative and qualitative with a correlational approach; thus, a survey-type instrument was applied to the credit unions mentioned above. Among the results observed, it was found that ethical factors such as honesty, responsibility, respect, loyalty, democracy, equality, and honesty are aspects that are directly related to management decision-making in the credit union industry since they depend on each other for ethical excellence. Therefore, this research shows that ethical behavior is neglected and does not make it possible to obtain predestined results, even if compensated with achievements and objectives, despite acting without professional ethics outside the established norms.
