Hipertensión Gestacional principales manifestaciones y manejo

Abstract

The hypertensive state in pregnancy is one of the most frequent complications in gestation, which can cause very relevant affectations due to the fact that it includes an important morbidity and mortality rate not only for the mother but also for the fetus. Regarding the management and treatment during the gravidarum condition, it has been possible to reach a consensus, after different studies, they should be performed when there is a blood pressure equal to 140/90mmHg, due to a significant risk of stroke, as well as fetal impairment. The different hypertensive conditions of pregnancy were clear since the work did not focus on other pathologies such as chronic gestational hypertension, in which it was found high figures prior to pregnancy, or states such as preeclampsia or eclampsia. The research aimed to define a research basis that compare different criteria and determine the main manifestations and the appropriate management of patients with gestational hypertension, distinguishing between pharmacological and non-pharmacological management, and comparing the bibliographies of Ecuador with international papers. It was carried out a review and analysis of different bibliographic sources such as articles, clinical practice guidelines and postgraduate research reports. After the bibliographic review, different criteria and points of view regarding gestational hypertension were established, always attached to a previous quality research referent
