Abstract

The objective of this research work is to evaluate the supply and demand of conventional and executive taxis in the urban area of ​​the city of Azogues, applying the Referential Methodology of the National Transit Agency, to determine the needs of this means of transport. The research was developed using the quantitative methodology that they contributed for the analysis of the contexts that cover the quality of the service; In the collection of information, tools such as surveys were used, which were directed towards the users and drivers of the cooperatives and companies of the commercial transport service in the taxi modality in order to obtain real data on the current situation that exists. At the moment, in this way to verify if there is a need for an increase in quotas or not, in the study it was evidenced that there is an oversupply of transport.
