dc.descriptionLa presente investigación tiene el objetivo analizar la sostenibilidad del proyecto turístico de Cojitambo situado en el cantón Azogues, provincia del Cañar, Ecuador. Se toma como referencia para el objeto de estudio a los turistas que visitan el Complejo Arqueológico de Ingapirca ubicado en el cantón Cañar. Se aplica un muestreo no probabilístico intencional con 105 encuestas las cuales fueron validadas a través del método de criterio de jueces. La metodología aplicada tiene un carácter exploratorio y descriptivo. La investigación parte de variables que fueron tomadas tal y como se presentan sin que el investigador haya manipulado intencionalmente. En la investigación se constata que el destino turístico es sostenible al regirse a las variables de innovación, ventaja competitiva y asociatividad, pues al combinar estas 3 variables es posible tener una gestión turística planificada, controlada y apoyada por la comunidad local lo cual permitiría que el complejo muestre sus bondades en forma de turismo arqueológico, de aventura y natural. Se concluye que el proyecto turístico de Cojitambo constituye un área de oportunidad para desarrollar a otros sectores como el patrimonial, agrícola, transporte, educación y deportivo. En consecuencia, la política pública se tiene que orientar a invertir recursos y apostar por alianzas público- comunitarias que permitan generar empleo productivo para los prestadores de servicios turísticos a lo largo de toda la cadena de valor.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research is to analyze the sustainability of the Cojitambo tourism project located in the Azogues canton, Cañar province, Ecuador. Tourists who visit the Ingapirca Archaeological Complex located in the Cañar canton are taken as a reference for the object of study. An intentional non-probabilistic sampling is applied with 105 surveys which were validated through the judges' criteria method. The applied methodology has an exploratory and descriptive character. The research starts from variables that were taken as they are presented without the researcher having intentionally manipulated them. In the investigation it is verified that the tourist destination is sustainable when governed by the variables of innovation, competitive advantage and associativity, since by combining these 3 variables it is possible to have a tourist management planned, controlled and supported by the local community which would allow the complex shows its benefits in the form of archaeological, adventure and natural tourism. It is concluded that the Cojitambo tourism project constitutes an area of ​​opportunity to develop other sectors such as heritage, agriculture, transportation, education and sports. Consequently, public policy must be geared towards investing resources and betting on public-community alliances that allow the generation of productive employment for tourism service providers throughout the entire value chain.es_ES
