dc.descriptionAntecedentes: El bruxismo, padecimiento motriz nocivo, asociado al estrés, trastornos oclusales, alergias y posturas al dormir, provoca daños sustanciales en las estructuras adamantinas y tejidos orgánicos del diente. La Rehabilitación integral del paciente bruxomano implica reestablecer la perdida de estructura dentaria mediante técnicas adhesivas y aparatos protésicos. El correcto y oportuno diagnóstico remedia el problema de las estructuras dentarias y su comportamiento neuromuscular, llevando a un equilibrio adecuado para reestablecer la funcionalidad neuromuscular y oclusal. Objetivo: Conocer protocolos ideales u óptimos para la rehabilitación total de la estructura dentaria según el grado de disfunción. Metodología: El tipo de investigación utilizada fue el documental-descriptivo, además, se ejecutó un análisis de fuentes bibliográficas y adición de artículos científicos. Resultados: El análisis bibliográfico reveló una serie de tratamientos para la rehabilitación dental, encontrando el uso de la resina compuesta directas o indirectas, férulas oclusales, componentes cerámicos, PMMA, entre otros. Conclusión: Las resinas compuestas de nanotecnología sumado a las férulas oclusales son herramientas eficaces para tratar con éxito el restablecimiento de la perdida de sustratos y/o trastornos temporomandibulares.es_ES
dc.description.abstractBackground: Bruxism, a harmful motor condition associated with stress, occlusal disorders, allergies, and sleeping postures, causes substantial damage to the tooth’s adamantine structures and organic tissues. Comprehensive rehabilitation of the bruxer consists of restoring the lost tooth structure using adhesive techniques and prosthetic appliances. The correct and timely diagnosis remedies the problem of the dental structures and their neuromuscular behavior, leading to an adequate balance to restore neuromuscular and occlusal functionality. Objective: To know the ideal or optimal protocols for the total rehabilitation of the dental structure according to the degree of dysfunction. Methodology: The research was documentary-descriptive; furthermore, an analysis of literature sources and the addition of scientific articles was carried out. Results: The literature review revealed several treatments for dental rehabilitation, finding the use of direct or indirect composite resin, occlusal splints, ceramic components, and PMMA, among others. Conclusion: Nanotechnology composite resins combined with occlusal splints are practical tools to treat the restoration of lost substrates and temporomandibular disorders successfully.es_ES
