Calidad de vida en el personal de enfermería durante la pandemia por Covid-19

Abstract

Background. Quality of life is the individual's perception of their place in the value system and cultural environment in which they live and the relationship with their expectations and concerns. All these factors are influenced by their physical health, psychological state, degree of independence, environmental factors, social relationships, and personal beliefs. In this sense, nursing personnel was affected during the Covid-19 pandemic because their lifestyles were affected. Objective: To describe the current health situation with a focus on the quality of life of nurses who provide care to patients with Covid-19 through a literature review. Methodology: Databases such as Science Direct, Scopus, Taylor & Francis, ProQuest, Pubmed, Redalyc, Researchgate, Tripdatabase, Medscape, SCieLO, as well as official pages of health entities were consulted, using keywords such as: "quality of life" "nursing" "pandemic" "Covid-19". Results: The initial search resulted in 220 articles. 80 potential articles were obtained using inclusion and exclusion criteria, of which 28 were excluded because they did not provide relevant data for the research, getting 52 sources for the development of the study. Conclusion: The quality of life of nursing personnel during the pandemic was affected in all its dimensions. It is necessary to take action to improve the perception of life that currently afflicts workers.
