Resumen
This paper analyzes the possibility of how it would affect the provinces with lower population density if the number of assembly members were reduced with the reform raised in question number four of the Popular Consultation held in February 2023. It begins with a review of the legal nature of the Legislative Function, it’s attributions, competences and how it influences state decision of the State. The article includes information to understand how the reduction of the number of assembly members would affect the rights of political representation, since the provinces that have fewer inhabitants will have little or no representation, thus being able to generate a problem, since the inhabitants will not be able to express their needs so that they are resolved in the National Assembly and thus improve their quality of life. For the elaboration of this article, a qualitative approach was carried out, through the bibliographic review, such as the use of scientific articles that provided the relevant proportional information on the research problem.

Este trabajo analiza la posibilidad de cómo afectaría a las provincias con menor densidad de habitantes si se llegara a reducir el número de asambleístas, con la reforma planteada en de la Consulta Popular realizada en febrero de 2023. Inicia con una revisión sobre la naturaleza jurídica de la Función Legislativa, sus atribuciones, competencias y cómo influye en la toma de decisiones del Estado. El articulo incluye información para entender cómo afectaría la reducción del número de asambleístas en los derechos de representación política, ya que las provincias que tengan menos habitantes tendrán poca o nula representación, pudiendo así generar un problema, puesto que los habitantes no podrán manifestar sus necesidades para que sean resueltas en la Asamblea Nacional y así mejorar su calidad de vida. Para la elaboración de este artículo se realizó un enfoque cualitativo, a través de la revisión bibliográfica, como el uso de artículos científicos que brindaron la información proporcional relevante sobre el problema de investigación.
