Conductas sexuales de riesgo y factores asociados en estudiantes universitarios en Azogues - Ecuador, 2020

Resumen
INTRODUCTION: Students often present some risky sexual risk behaviors throughout their lives, resulting in consequences that affect their personal, student, and social life. OBJECTIVE: To identify sexual risk behaviors and associated factors in university students in Azogues - Ecuador, 2020. METHODOLOGY: It was a descriptive, cross-sectional, census-based, and quantitative research. Information was obtained from the database generated by a survey applied to university students who met the inclusion criteria; its statistical analysis was by prevalence ratio, using the binomial distribution, in the SPSS V23 software. RESULTS: It was shown that 53.5% of the participants presented some sexual risk behavior, of which 58.9% were women, and 90.7% reported being single. The variables that demonstrated significance were: other sexual orientations 3.2 times more (PR 3.22 CI 95% 1.43-7.23), under 16 years of age 82% (PR 1.82 CI 95% 1.04-3.18), use of contraceptive methods other than condoms 56% (PR 1.56 CI 95% 1.02-2. 36), sexually transmitted diseases 99% (PR 1.99 CI 95% 1.81-2.22), alcohol 2.1 times more (PR 2.11 CI 95% 1.37-3.27), drugs 61% (PR 1.61 CI 95% 1.02-2.53). In contrast, the number of sexual partners, religion, or academic performance did not influence the presentation of any sexual risk behavior. CONCLUSION: The age of initiation of sexual relation, use of contraceptive methods, sexually transmitted diseases, and alcohol and drug use were identified as sexual risk behaviors among university students.

INTRODUCCIÓN: Los estudiantes tienden a presentar alguna de las conductas sexuales de riesgo a lo largo de su vida, con las cuales resulta en consecuencias que afectan tanto en su vida personal, estudiantil y social. OBJETIVO: Identificar las conductas sexuales de riesgo y factores asociados en estudiantes universitarios en Azogues – Ecuador 2020. METODOLOGÍA: Investigación de tipo descriptivo, transversal, base censal y cuantitativa, los datos fueron tomados de la base de datos generada por una encuesta aplicada a los estudiantes universitarios que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, su análisis estadístico fue mediante razón de prevalencias, mediante distribución binomial, en el programa SPSS V23. RESULTADOS: Se demostró que el 53.5% de los participantes presentaron alguna conducta sexual de riesgo, de los cuales el 58.9% fueron mujeres y el 90.7% mencionaron estar solteros. Las variables que demostraron significancia fueron otras orientaciones sexuales 3.2 veces más (RP 3.22 IC 95% 1.43-7.23), menores de 16 años 82% (RP 1.82 IC 95% 1.04-3.18), uso de otros métodos anticonceptivos que no sean los preservativos 56% (RP 1.56 IC 95% 1.02-2.36), enfermedades de transmisión sexual 99% (RP 1.99 IC 95% 1.81-2.22), alcohol 2.1 veces más (RP 2.11 IC 95% 1.37-3.27), drogas 61% (RP 1.61 IC 95% 1.02-2.53); mientras que, el número de parejas sexuales, religión, rendimiento académico no influyó en presentar alguna conducta sexual de riesgo. CONCLUSIÓN: Se identificaron como conductas sexuales de riesgo en universitarios la edad de inicio de relaciones sexuales, uso de métodos anticonceptivos, enfermedades de transmisión sexual, consumo de alcohol y drogas.
