Resumen
Contemporary research indicates that the first year of life is essential for logical and abstract development. They guarantee that playing is an activity that provides help to children for his cognitive development. Authors cited in this work (Herrera, 2016; Benitez, 2019), agree that playing contributes to improve their learning, attention and psychomotor skills that help their formation. Game is a methodological strategy that constitutes the development of skills and abilities for optimal learning. This work is focused on knowing which are the games that contribute to the development of mathematical logical thinking. The objective is to analyze the importance of the use of traditional games in the development of mathematical logical thinking in children from 4 to 5 years old. The research approach is qualitative of descriptive type, and it applies a documentary research method that will be carried out through the bibliographic consultation of documents (books, scientific articles, magazines, newspapers, memoirs), with the purpose of searching information about traditional games and the development of mathematical thinking and logic. As a result, it was obtained that traditional games are the key for the development of the early childhood area. It is concluded that teachers should resort to traditional games for their planning in which the child learns by playing, thus developing his logical- mathematical thinking.

En investigaciones realizadas actualmente, señalan que los primeros años de vida son esenciales para el desarrollo lógico y abstracto. Garantizan que el juego es una actividad que brinda ayuda al niño para su desarrollo cognitivo. Autores citados en el trabajo (Herrera, 2016; Benitez,2019), concuerdan que el juego contribuye a mejorar su aprendizaje, la atención y sus habilidades psicomotrices que ayudan a su formación. El juego es una estrategia metodológica que constituye al desarrollo de las habilidades y destrezas para un óptimo aprendizaje. El trabajo está enfocado en conocer cuáles son los juegos que aportan al desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático, se tiene planteado como objetivo analizar la importancia que tiene el uso de los juegos tradicionales en el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático en niños de 4 a 5 años. El enfoque del estudio es cualitativo de tipo descriptivo, tiene un método de investigación documental que se realizará a través de la consulta bibliográfica de documentos (libros, artículos científicos, revistas, periódicos, memorias), con el propósito de encontrar información sobre los juegos tradicionales, el desarrollo del pensamiento y la lógica matemática. Como resultado se obtuvo que los juegos tradicionales son claves para el avance de las áreas de desarrollo de la primera infancia. Se concluye que los docentes recurran a los juegos tradicionales para sus planificaciones en donde el niño de educación inicial aprende jugando, de esta manera desarrollando su pensamiento lógico- matemático
