    In recent years, electronic invoicing has considerably impacted Ecuador's business environment. Its application has transformed how companies operate, providing several advantages to users. Unfortunately, in Ecuador, many companies use customized electronic invoicing systems that sometimes lack a complete and proper structure. Therefore, this project aims to introduce innovative options to streamline the execution of repetitive tasks, such as manually entering information through the design and development of a multiplatform electronic invoicing SaaS system integrated into government services. This system was first developed by analyzing the requirements of the users and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to continue its development under the agile SCRUM framework.     PROPUESTA DE UN PLAN DE IMPLEMENTACIÓN PARA EL CUMPLIMIENTO DE LA LEY ORGÁNICA DE PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS PERSONALES EN LA EMPRESA CABLETEL

    Cabletel must be aligned with the new law on personal data protection because, since 2023, all companies that handle user data are obliged to comply with this regulation. Therefore, this work focuses on evaluating Cabletel's security levels concerning protecting personal information. The study answers the question: How can Cabletel strengthen its information security and ensure compliance with the legal requirements established by the current regulations? Through the analysis of the LOPDP and ISO 27002, plan to identify and implement control objectives by the company and development of recommendations to strengthen security processes. The methodology was based on the qualitative, descriptive approach, and the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) model was used. A literature review related to the LOPDP and ISO 27002 was conducted. In addition, surveys were applied to the person in charge of the ICT department to evaluate the integration of the control objectives. The results indicate that Cabletel complies with 79% of the specific controls identified in ISO 27002; in turn, they are linked to the requirements established by the LOPDP. The maturity level of each identified control was also determined, representing 72% of stability and consistency. Based on these results, recommendations were suggested to ensure compliance with these requirements and avoid the sanctions established by law.     This work focuses on designing and creating a prototype platform that aims to manage Smart Contracts in Blockchain technology, with the primary objective of simplifying the generation, execution, and monitoring of Smart Contracts in a decentralized and secure environment. The prototype has been developed based on a vehicle Marketplace, providing a practical and applied dimension to the work. Smart Contracts play a fundamental role in this platform, being deployed on the Ethereum Blockchain to automate related transactions in the buying and selling vehicles. The approach is not limited to the technical implementation of Smart Contracts but also includes the creation of a DApp with an intuitive user interface, facilitating users' interaction with the platform. In addition, fundamental security and privacy aspects are considered to ensure the integrity of transactions and the confidentiality of user data. This research mainly focuses on designing and developing a platform specialized in managing Smart Contracts in Blockchain technology, with particular attention to its application in a vehicle marketplace. The final goal of this project is to demonstrate the viability and potential of this Blockchain technology in a practical and functional environment, contributing to the advancement and understanding of the application of Smart Contracts in specific cases, such as the vehicle sector.

    This research responds to the problems faced by a telecommunications company that offers television and fiber optic internet services in Azogues, Biblián, and Déleg (CABLETEL) in IT management due to the lack of an adequate methodology. It has resulted in the accumulation of unattended tickets and a lack of categorization and prioritization criteria, which affect business processes and generate a bad image with customers. This study aims to design and implement an IT management system based on ITIL to improve IT services in CABLETEL, for which the processes currently managed will be identified, the primary ITIL processes will be selected to choose the most appropriate software, implementing it in a test environment, which will solve current problems, improve efficiency, standardize operations and reduce risks. The mixed methodological approach, which assesses the current state of the company and the best practices based on ITIL, will be used to propose suitable IT management software.

    The city of Azogues is the capital of the province of Cañar, with a population of 35,763 inhabitants. This city has many tourist attractions that must be promoted effectively for visitors. This project aims to develop a mobile application through modern development platforms to promote tourist destinations, providing specific information about them, thus obtaining the potential to improve the user experience. For this project, detailed information about local tourist sites was collected, and an application was designed incorporating important information, detailed routes, public transportation options, and interactive maps that meet users' needs. Functional tests were performed to ensure that the application would fulfill its primary purpose: to enhance the experience of those visiting the city of Azogues. As a result, a mobile application will provide specific information about the city's tourist sites, improving visitors' experience and optimizing the time to reach destinations.

    This research study entitled, "DESIGN AND PROTOTYPE OF A WEB APPLICATION FOR COLLECTING OPERATING LICENSE FEES FOR THE AZOGUES FIRE DEPARTMENT," aims to design a prototype of a web application for the management and improvement in collecting operating license fees for the Azogues Fire Department. Therefore, the problems with the document handling of the collection department were first established, obtaining the requirements to optimize the process. The need was identified for a system allowing users to collect contributions more efficiently and agilely. Secondly, a comparison and selection of the appropriate framework that would fit the characteristics and requirements of the application to be developed was conducted. The framework selected was Asp.net Core, which permitted easy integration with other tools and technologies used in web application development. SQL Server was established for the database, enabling efficient and secure information management. Finally, the web application prototype was performed, using the agile Scrum methodology to develop the project; this web organized and managed the project better. As a result, a functional product model was obtained, capable of handling the collection of contributions efficiently and nimbly to get the operating license.

    Servcomp company, located in Cañar and EI Tambo cantons in the province of Cañar, provides sales services, updating, repair, and maintenance services. The company's sales process is conducted through a legacy invoicing system that keeps its records in a local database. In addition, the current situation of invoicing in Ecuador forces the company to adapt to the electronic invoicing process. These situations mean that information on inventory and the sales and invoicing process is not available centrally. On the other hand, working with an unsupported system prevents the implementation of the electronic procedure. For this, it was decided to develop a web-based billing and inventory management application that stores information in the Cloud in a single data source and allows the company to issue electronic receipts to its customers.

    Municipal Public Company for the Integral Cleaning of the Cañari People Commonwealth (EMMAIPC-EP by its Spanish acronym) seeks to improve the quality of its services and diffusion of information to its users. It aims to make a mobile application available to citizens that significantly helps solve many of the current problems. To realize this mobile prototype, the SCRUM methodology was used as a development framework; and with open-source tools such as quasar and Android Studio, among others, since they have features that facilitate the mobile prototype's adaptability to Android and IOS Smartphones. An Arduino board and a GPS module were also used. This project consisted of four chapters that explain the problems, theoretical foundation, methodology, materials and methods, the development of the prototype, and the conclusions and recommendations based on the results obtained in designing this prototype mobile application.

Based on this problem, a prototype was developed for charging and billing operations, thus, streamlining the different processes managed by the Water Council using cloud resources. Scrum methodology was used for the prototype creation, and 4 Sprints were established with different tasks to accomplish; these tasks were set with the Water Council administration, including a deadline for each sprint, which would be performed until the prototype could operate with the agreed requirements. As a result, the prototype can manage the service, collection, and billing processes, permitting the registration of members' information, meters, and sewers, among others. These functionalities were submitted to user feedback to make essential adjustments; however, deploying this software product will require compliance with other aspects of the security electronic billing process.

    The Azogues Rotary Tarriffed Municipal Parking Service (SEMERTAZ by its Spanish acronym) controls public parking spaces in the city's downtown area, aiming to improve vehicular mobility. However, SEMERTAZ has no mobile application permit automated registration, consultation, and payment of infractions. Therefore, it was decided to develop a prototype of a hybrid mobile application in IONIC using the agile development methodology SCRUM to improve the processes managed by SEMERTAZ. The application focuses on optimizing the time of registration, consultation, and fines payment using mobile devices compared to the current management offered by the Company. For the development of this research, four chapters are described. Chapter 1 concerns the reference frame: background, problem statement, justification, objects, and scope. Chapter 2 contains the theoretical foundation on the type of mobile operating systems and applications, valuable tools for developing hybrid applications, using non-relational databases, and analysis of agile development methodologies. Chapter 3 applies the selected agile methodology selected to design the hybrid mobile application. Finally, Chapter 4 shows the application development results, conclusions, and recommendations

    The Catholic University of Cuenca Campus Azogues has a medical registration system and dental records called "Juntos por una Sonrisa" (Tied together with a Smile). It was designed as part of community linkage activities but presented problems concerning functionality, information storage, delays in loading times, and interface design. According to the problems exposed, it was decided to apply Cyclic Software Re-engineering and SCRUM development methodology to the computer system, thus allowing constant revisions and improving users' satisfaction. This work is developed in four chapters; Chapter I addresses the frame of reference, which describes aspects such as Background, Description of the Problem, Justification, Objectives, Scope, and State of the Art. Chapter II presents the theoretical basis and analysis of Software Re-engineering and Software development methodologies and the necessary tools for finding the solution. In Chapter III, the selected processes are applied to the development of the computer system. Finally, Chapter IV presents the conclusions and recommendations obtained in the development of this work.

    This research focuses on implementing a Business Intelligence (BI) solution for the “TOGETHER FOR A SMILE” project to provide valuable insights for analysis. The implementation process includes identifying requirements through meetings with medical and dental managers, scoping, data processing, and building the BI solution. Once the requirements were identified, data extraction was conducted for analysis, and a data warehouse was developed based on the Hephaestus methodology to feed the BI solution. For this purpose, ETL processes are performed in the JPUS computer system to guarantee the integrity of its data. Finally, the BI solution is made with the Microsoft Power BI tool, which will provide a complete view of the project by presenting dynamic dashboards for the dentistry and medicine modules, making it possible to identify opportunities and areas for improvement through the use of different types of graphics according to the requirements obtained. Successful implementation of a BI solution requires a comprehensive approach that includes theoretical background, identification of appropriate methodologies and tools, execution of technical processes, and implementation of customized solutions for the project's specific needs. The BI solution will help linkage managers make better decisions and increase project efficiency by enabling more detailed medical and dental data analysis.

    En el presente trabajo de investigación se realiza el prototipo de un sistema e-commerce para el minimarket COMPRA HOY”, enfocada a la gestión de ventas. Debido a la pandemia, muchos negocios y empresas del Ecuador se han visto en la necesidad de vender sus productos a través de un portal web el cual se ha vuelto muy popular en los últimos años cambiando el modelo de negocio tradicional por nuevos negocios que impone altos niveles de estructura organizacional y disminución de costos, que se centra en la compra y venta utilizando una red como medio de intercambio, por consiguiente en este proyecto se busca desarrollar una tienda virtual que involucran venta de productos del minimarket utilizando tecnologías de información con una profunda investigación sobre las distintas actividades y procesos que se realizan al momento de vender un producto. El enfoque del desarrollo estará basado en la metodología SCRUM utilizado normalmente en desarrollo ágil, con una base de datos relacional, contando con una seguridad adecuada en cuanto a la visibilidad y administración de la información. Esta propuesta de prototipo está dividida en cuatro capítulos: capítulo I Diagnostico situacional donde se establece el problema y objetivos. El capítulo II está compuesto por el marco teórico. Capítulo III donde consta el desarrollo del prototipo basado en la metodología ágil y por último el capítulo IV determinar conclusiones y recomendaciones del presente estudio.

    E-commerce is one of today's buzzwords, is to buy, sell, offer services through a web page, so it is the application of advanced information technologies that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of business relationships between business partners. New businesses and companies take advantage of e--commerce, changing the traditional business pattern for new business processes that impose high levels of organizational structure and costs, so it is necessary to understand the secret of on line business, which helps streamline business processes and thus have an excellent operational efficiency of the company. The advancement of technology allows companies to have electronic links, having a list of products in electronic catalogs that can be displayed so that customers can consult their products and their specifications, and thus be able to generate purchase orders. Online business involves different operational processes, supported by other production systems, different business practices, a different way of relating to the customer and a different technological platform, doing business on the Internet is more a matter of strategy and business vision than technology. Electronic commerce as concept groups different technologies that are now available to improve the efficiency of transactions, these technologies include Electronic Data Interchange (EDI, XML), Electronic Mail, Electronic Forms, Electronic Catalogs.     Currently there is a large number of companies that ofter mobilization servicies to different parts of the country, these can be for tourism or to move to the different aisports in the country. The aim of this study is to describe the development processes of a prototype of a web reservation system for the tourist transport company Paladín Tours, the same one that same one that allows organizing and automating certain processes, thus speeding up procedures that may be delayed and uncomfortable for the company´s clients. This prototype proposal is divided into three chapters: Chapter I establishes the problem and the objectives. Chapter II is made up of the theoretical framework. Chapter III contains the development of the prototype, as well s the analyses and the results obtained.

    This research project defines the development of a system focused on the reading and transmission of drinking water consumption in a wirelessly way, for the drinking water board of San Pedro de Cañar, this system is developed based on the existing problems at the time of measuring the consumption of the vital liquid in each one of the users, it is carried out manually, for the sole reason that there is no efficient system for acquiring readings of drinking water consumption. Our system provides a solution for tl1e inconveniences of the administrative board and at the same lime helps users since it has a flow sensor, which measures the volume of drinking water that circulates tl1rough the main pipeline of the property, thus obtaining the real data on drinking water consumption without the need for a company operator lo collect the data. This system has a database. The same allows to store and record the data of the consumption of drinking water of the users to generate a monthly bill of 1hcir consumption of drinking water.
