- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoFactores claves que permiten el incremento en las ventas de las empresas del sector artesanal en Cuenca-Ecuador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Montero Ortiz, Daniela Alexandra; Rivera Gutiérrez, Marlon Fabricio; Ramón Poma, Glenda Maricela; 0107182495; 0150226959The objective of this study is to identify the key factors that allow the increase in sales of companies in the handicraft sector in Cuenca-Ecuador. For this purpose, a qualitative, quantitative, descriptive, correlational, exploratory, and cross-sectional type of research was used. In this sense, it was described the importance of the differentiation and price factors of the product through the application of a questionnaire with five types of answers on a Likert scale. Cronbach's Alpha test was used to determine the reliability of the questionnaire, in which the result was 0.798. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the key factors, resulting in the independent variables product differentiation and product price having a high correlation with the dependent variable sales increase. According to this research, it is demonstrated that these factors are of great benefit to the owners of the companies in the planning and application of their strategies, so that the right decisions can be made in the structure of administrative and strategic functions of the handicraft businesses, which will determine clear lines of work for the development and strengthening of these organizations.
- ÍtemSolo MetadatosIntención emprendedora en estudiantes de bachillerato del cantón Santa Isabel – Azuay – Ecuador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Cabrera Pando, Verónica Mireya; Ramón Poma, Glenda Maricela; 0107092686Entrepreneurship currently plays an important role in the economy of a country, and it is relevant to consider the entrepreneurial intention of students, which allows the research objective to identify the entrepreneurial intention of high school students in the canton of Santa Isabel, Azuay, Ecuador. This research was conducted under an exploratory, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional quantitative approach methodology, using a 21-item Likert scale survey as a data collection instrument, which was directed to a sample of 281 students of the first, second, and third levels of high school in the Canton of Santa Isabel. The survey was subjected to an analysis in the SPSS statistical package, which predicted a reliability percentage of 0.915 using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. A linear regression analysis was also performed, which yielded a significant percentage of (0.000) for the independent variable attitude towards entrepreneurship, while for the independent variable motivation towards entrepreneurship, there were no significant results (0.137). In conclusion, from the two independent variables, only the variable attitude towards entrepreneurship affects the dependent variable, which shows that attitude towards entrepreneurship is very important in the entrepreneurial intention of students, which can lead to appropriate decisions in educational institutions.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoRelación de elementos de la personalidad de los gerentes con las ventas de las empresas del sector comercial en el centro histórico de la ciudad de Cuenca Ecuador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Cabrera Armijos, Alex Orlando; Astudillo Arias, Pedro Yamil; 0105640692This study is based on the characteristics and traits that define how a person thinks, feels, and behaves; these personality elements can influence the sales process in various positive and negative ways. Therefore, this work aims to identify the relationship between the elements of the manager's personality and the company’s sales in the commercial sector. The methodology used was quantitative and exploratory; for the information collection, five hypotheses were formulated, and a survey was carried out with 124 business people from the Historic Center of Cuenca, Ecuador. The reliability of the questionnaire applied reached Cronbach's Alpha = 0.806. Considering the results, a human personality model called the “Big Five Test (Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism)” was applied. The data from the survey were then subjected to a multiple linear regression analysis process using the SPSS computer system. The results showed that the “Responsibility” variable is the type of personality that most relates to and influences the sales process, with a significance of 0.005. It was concluded that “Responsibility” has a positive relationship with sales for business success
