Ítem Acceso Abierto Fiabilidad de los sistemas de impresión digital en ortodoncia. Revisión bibligráfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Idrovo Castillo, Gabriela Carolina; Medina Sotomayor, Irma Priscilla; 0302713953; ., .The application and use of 3D intraoral images has gained importance in the last decade, improving the patient's experience compared to conventional methods. The reliability of these digital impression systems facilitates proper diagnosis and record taking. OBJECTIVE: To determine the precision of digital impression systems in orthodontics. MATERIALS AND METHODS: By reviewing the literature, using databases such as: Medline, PubMed, Scopus, Web of science; where 13 articles are included in languages such as: English, Spanish and Portuguese, published within the last 5 years, which were chosen by applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS: Reliability was observed in terms of precision and accuracy, showing in the Trios 3 system the most significant number 9.6 ± 1.2 µm, as well as in accuracy the iTero Element system 0.22 ± 0.15 µm. CONCLUSIONS: It was determined that the degree of precision of digital impression systems in orthodontics is high compared to conventional methods, with the most reliable intraoral digital impression systems being iTero Element intraoral scanning and Trios 3 with better values in accuracy and precision. respectively and within the extraoral digital impression systems, the 3Shape R700 obtained the best precision values.
