The public procurement system in Ecuador centers around maximizing the State's financial resources. Its processes necessitate a judicious consideration of alternatives to enhance resource utilization. In this context, this research aims to analyze the public procurement processes to optimize the financial resources of “Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A” Electric Company. The procurement procedures from 2020-2022 are assessed using quantitative and qualitative research methods. Data is gathered from the National Public Procurement Service (SERCOP by its Spanish acronym) website and processed using Excel. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Shapiro-Wilk, and Wilcoxon normality tests are applied in the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software to test the hypotheses. The results underscore the effective resource management within the entity. In conclusion, the public procurement processes have successfully ensured the optimization of financial resources in “Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A” Electric Company during the specified period.
