Despite the relevance of this industry, it is unknown how public contracting affects the actors and whether the effects are positive or negative. Therefore, the research aims to analyze the effects of public procurement on the actors of the popular solidarity economy in the textile industry of school uniform sales in Cuenca from 2019 to 2023. To this end, this research adopted a descriptive approach to analyze the impact of public procurement on the actors of the popular solidarity economy in the school uniform textile industry in Cuenca. A comprehensive literature review and focused surveys were used to obtain qualitative information. The sample was carefully selected from the population of actors in the popular and solidarity economy in the textile industry. The main findings obtained through the Pearson Correlation Method revealed that there is a strong correlation between the analyzed variables and a positive impact of public procurement according to the object of study, as it has generated more business opportunities and financial improvement, fostering organizations’ development and growth; thus investigation hypothesis that reflects a positive effect in the sector was confirmed
