Ítem Acceso Abierto "Adaptación de la tecnología estándar de comunicación en el campo del control y supervisión de procesos industriales (OPC), en un prototipo de sistema SCADA basado en la plataforma Ignition y controladores lógicos programables"(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2018) Ordoñez Lliguicota, Luis Vinicio; González Redrován, Javier; 0302893169; ., .The implementation of an OPC communication architecture, allows to integrate diverse independent technologies of the manufacturer, offering a better management in the control and monitory of an industrial process. The existence of proprietary systems dependent of hardware and skilled software, require of costly investments and of problems of interoperability in front of a deficient adaptation. In this, the protocol OPC presents a firm solution, reliable and flexible, deleting these impositions endowments that the OPC Foundation compact in his versions of OPC classical and OPC UA. This graduation work shows a prototype of system OPC SCADA designed in the platform Ignition, which controls and monitor from a local network the micro climate of a greenhouse scale model. By means of basic control techniques, it is possible to regulate the climatic conditions of humidity, temperature and quantity of water. To do it, it is employed OPC servers with different types of technologies (PLC, Arduino and Raspberry Pi) that manage several processes and that are executed from different platforms. In conclusion, the prototype proposed, constitutes an interesting subject to explore new alternatives, by evaluating embed devices so that they can be used as profitable and sustainable tools in the industry, allowing the adequacy of this technology with a very low cost of investment.Ítem Acceso Abierto Análisis de la tasa de fallos del control eléctrico de secadoras de ropa industrial en condiciones de operación variables(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) Ulloa Galindo, César Santiago; Verdugo Ormaza, Diego Efraín; 0105110050; ., .This research is presented to investigate the most likely causes of failure in operating conditions, nominal and variable, to which the control cards of the speed queen industrial dryers, std32dg, are exposed. It proposes to improve and extend the service life of the fresh laundry located in Cuenca City. Economic factors of time and operation make the study of mainboard failure be mandatory. Presumably, the heat excessive humidity and the flow, has as effect that the boards get damaged easily, and it causes, waste of money and time. When any of the controller boards fails, the downtime of the dryer is typically indefinite. This study will allow to know the most probable causes of failure of the control boards of the drying machines through data taken by the sensors and to carry out an analysis by means of graphs to determine the possible failures. Using the dht 11 sensor, the humidity and temperature data of the control board will be gotten, with the current sensor sct-013-30a, the current data will be obtained on the control boards and with the micro sd module we backed up the information. Data was gotten at the input of the control board both on the card without failure vs the card with failure, the data obtained are temperature, humidity and flow, in the same way data was gotten at the output of the control card, it was obtained data of vacuum current and with different types of clothes (light, jean, towels), weight (5, 10, 20lbs). The comparisons of temperature, humidity, flow were made and it was determined that there was no anomaly in the control card, because the peaks that were presented were at the start of the machine and was within the established parameters. It is recommended to the owner of the laundry the placement of a capacitor bank due to the penalty because of the existing power factor.Ítem Acceso Abierto Automatización de los sitemas de acceso, iluminación y monitoreo del laboratorio de electrónica de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca sede Azogues usando tecnología IoT(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) Ávila Gallegos, Luis Enrique; Mata Quevedo, Jean Paúl; 0302686019; ., .This research project, a requirement in order to graduate as an electronic engineer, describes the design of the entrance, lightning and supervision systems of the laboratory of electronics of the Catholic University of Cuenca-Azogues. This automated equipment system is a result on the requirements of the laboratory of electronics and has been deployed due to the fact that this area has a constant use demand by teachers and students and has no automatic devices for managing revenues, energy management and safety. Furthermore, a framework of technology and innovation has been designed in the laboratory by using sensors and automated equipment allowing to provide an enhanced technological space by promoting, for example, energy efficiency. The main technology for integrating automated systems in the laboratory is based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This technology allows all the equipment to be connected through the publisher/subscriber structure of the MQTT communication protocol. By implementing this automation system, hopefully the users will enhance their perception of comfort, offer a scope for innovation to increase teaching quality and encourage a new culture of energy efficiency.Ítem Acceso Abierto Bloqueo del sistema de encendido de un vehículo eléctrico, mediante la implementación de un alcoholímetro(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) González González, John Marcelo; Ortega Castro, Juan Carlos; 0302138276; ., .This article presents a locking system in the electric vehicle of the Catholic University of Cuenca through the implementation of a breathalyzer, which will contribute to the reduction of traffic accidents, through the limitation generated to the driving of the vehicle by people in a drunken state. In addition, the system allows the driver to be provided with the necessary information to know the reason for the locking or unlocking of the vehicle, by means of a monitor mounted on it, and the changes of the variables in the ThingSpeak platform, culminating with the methodology for the development and programming of the hardware and software devices used, as well as the main conclusions that were obtained in its execution.Ítem Acceso Abierto Diseño e implementación de un prototipo para la medición del nivel de contaminaciòn del agua del río Burgay de la ciudad de Azogues(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) Lozado Campoverde, Edgar Francisco; Mata Quevedo, Jean Paúl; 0301937959; ., .For a long time, environmental damage has been one of the main problems which have concerned society, since it produces various changes in the ecosystems that affect the city. The uncontrolled use of chemicals in agricultural areas and the discharge of pollutants through marginal sewers, determine the need to create systems to monitor the pollution of the Burgay River and water quality. This water is used for agriculture and animal consumption and wa- shing of vegetables; for this reason, it is important to conduct this research on the level of contamination of the water being utilized. The project tries to develop a prototype that will allow for the measurement of the pollution of the Burgay River that flows through the city of Azogues using pH, conductivity, turbidity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen sensors. In this way, people in charge of managing water resources will improve water quality through stra- tegies to avoid contamination, or plan better management of the Burgay River watershed, for the benefit of society in general. The results obtained are important because they will help to make decisions for future planning that will allow the search for new alternatives to counteract the contamination of the Burgay River watershed that crosses the city of Azogues.Ítem Acceso Abierto Diseño e implementación de un prototipo para un sistema de parqueo con aplicación móvil(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Vijay Cajamaca, Franklin Geovanny; Coronel González, César Alvarito; 0302641766; ., .Finding an easy and fast parking place in the surroundings of the Bus Terminal is very difficult because it generates vehicular chaos due to the high demand for parking required by the influx of both students and professionals who attend the Catholic University of Cuenca, Azogues branch, every day.
