Poor work in motor coordination avoid players become excellent and more competitive and this is one of the problems that occurs most frequently during a U12 category basketball competition. The objective of this study is to know the teaching methodology used by coaches to work motor coordination. For this analysis, it was applied a qualitative methodology, applying a survey to a team's coach and a test of motor coordination parameters for players as a method of data collection. The population was made up of 150 athletes, members of the "Unidos Club" team, taking into consideration a sample of 20 athletes. The results showed that 20% of the athletes present certain deficiencies and difficulties in terms of their coordination abilities. In addition, the methodology taught by the trainer is adequate. Therefore, as conclusions, it is referred that motricity perfects and coordinates the movements in basketball players in all stages and categories, especially in the U12 category where age is essential for those involved to develop these capabilities enhancing them to the level of excellence.
