Ítem Acceso Abierto Factores que limitan la realización del papanicolaou en mujeres comerciantes del mercado recinto ferial, Azogues, septiembre 2018 - febrero 2019(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2019) Angamarca Cuji, Jéssica Liduvina; Lozano Lojano, Dalila Alejandra; Latacela Lligui, Gloria Alexandra; 0105961494; 0302248851; ., .The object of the investigation is to determine the factors that limit the realization of Papanicolaou in women merchants of the Recinto Ferial, Azogues, September 2018 - February 2019. The applied methodology is descriptive, with a probability sampling, the sample was 175 women As an instrument to data collection was applied a survey previously validated by experts. The descriptive data was analyzed in the SPSS version 23 program, obtaining Results are presented both in tables and graphs. within the results we have that 55.4% of the respondents belong to adulthood young man. 49.7% are married, 39.4% complete primary school, 84.6% are Catholic, 92% have children, 75% are multiparous, 24.6% are unaware of the Pap smear, 33.1% have never had a Pap smear. In In relation to the degree of knowledge about the Pap smear, 42.9% do not know the frequency for testing. 44% have a level of knowledge insufficient in relation to the objective to be realized; 55.4% reflect knowledge insufficient with respect to the conditions prior to cervical screening; the 50.3% do not know who should have this test done. The factors that limit the performance of the PAP-TEST is carelessness with 24.6%, followed by lack of time and embarrassment towards the staff who performs this exam with a 22.9%, 131% fear of taking the test, 11.4% fear of the results. I know concludes that the low coverage of cervical screening is due to the fact that population investigated does not have precise information on the PAP, being the I neglect a limiting factor so that women merchants do not perform the Pap smear.
