Considering the needs to be fulfilled for the well-being of caregivers of individuals with disabilities, given the deficiencies observed in altered patterns of perception and management of health, sleep and rest, and cognitive-perceptual impairment, this research aims to focus on the caregiver of a dependent person. The objective is to analyze the factors influencing caregiver burden and quality of life in caregivers of individuals with disabilities. The bibliographic search presents the qualities of the data obtained in each study that have made it possible to achieve the stated objectives. The results reveal factors contributing to caregiver burdens, such as fatigue, lack of sleep, physical and mental activity deficiency due to lack of social contact, low self-esteem, and other related factors. It is concluded that most caregivers dedicate their time to caregiving without possessing qualified knowledge, as evidenced by a significant proportion of caregivers having primary and secondary education levels and lacking an established schedule. Additionally, the review identified that female caregivers are primarily responsible for caregiving, as supported by the reviewed studies, and generally exceed 50 years of age.
