- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoAnálisis de la tasa de fallos del control eléctrico de secadoras de ropa industrial en condiciones de operación variables(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) Ulloa Galindo, César Santiago; Verdugo Ormaza, Diego Efraín; 0105110050; ., .This research is presented to investigate the most likely causes of failure in operating conditions, nominal and variable, to which the control cards of the speed queen industrial dryers, std32dg, are exposed. It proposes to improve and extend the service life of the fresh laundry located in Cuenca City. Economic factors of time and operation make the study of mainboard failure be mandatory. Presumably, the heat excessive humidity and the flow, has as effect that the boards get damaged easily, and it causes, waste of money and time. When any of the controller boards fails, the downtime of the dryer is typically indefinite. This study will allow to know the most probable causes of failure of the control boards of the drying machines through data taken by the sensors and to carry out an analysis by means of graphs to determine the possible failures. Using the dht 11 sensor, the humidity and temperature data of the control board will be gotten, with the current sensor sct-013-30a, the current data will be obtained on the control boards and with the micro sd module we backed up the information. Data was gotten at the input of the control board both on the card without failure vs the card with failure, the data obtained are temperature, humidity and flow, in the same way data was gotten at the output of the control card, it was obtained data of vacuum current and with different types of clothes (light, jean, towels), weight (5, 10, 20lbs). The comparisons of temperature, humidity, flow were made and it was determined that there was no anomaly in the control card, because the peaks that were presented were at the start of the machine and was within the established parameters. It is recommended to the owner of the laundry the placement of a capacitor bank due to the penalty because of the existing power factor.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoDiseño e implementación de un sistema de control numérico por computadora cnc, para mecanizado de corte y tallado de madera, metal, plástico y acrílico, haciendo uso de Hardware y Software libre, que permita el desarrollo de una máquina-herramienta de bajo costo(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) Landín Guarquila, Julio Homero; Verdugo Ormaza, Diego Efraín; 030239914; ., .The purpose of this project is to carry out the manufacture and design of a 3-axis machine controlled by a computerized numerical system, based on new models of CNC machines, the elaboration was carried out with easily accessible materials and existing in our market. Most elements were found in computers that are no longer in use such as printers and scanners of different brands and designs. For the machine control system, different free software’s were analyzed and selected for user-friendly use, these being the ones indicated for the control and calibration of the CNC machine. The CNC prototype has a work area of 300x300 mm2 with the ability to carve or cut a thickness of up to 30mm. The machine control is done by an Arduino one, which receives and sends signals to the stepper motors for the machining of designs previously predetermined by CAD / CAM software. When submitting to carving and cutting tests, the results obtained were very helpful in concluding that the machine is functional and meets the objectives set.

The Internet of Things (IoT) provides an infrastructure for integrating and interconnecting devices and people, where the exchange of information or the installation of devices is managed and administered in a relevant and independent way, and where everyone can access it. It is essential, given the wide range of IoT devices, to optimize resource use in communication technologies. In our case, we are seeking one for sending information between several link points in order to create a network, with a long-range level of coverage, low power consumption, accessible implementation and cost, for which Pycom’s Lopy is the best option. This project proposes the design of a LPWAN network based on the LoRa/LoRaWAN communication protocol, using a LoraServer and LoPyv.4 devices, which together are nodes and gateways in a star type data network topology, which aims to manage the drinking water consumption of the Gulanza Community of the Biblián Cantón, through a graphic interface developed in Node Red, by allowing to analyze and display in real-time the consumption of the population, thus optimizing the measurement processes, and timely access to the information, with a modern technology, to benefit and adapt it to our needs.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoImplementación de una estación metereológica móvil para la obtención de datos ambientales en la ciudad de Azogues(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Palaguachi Chabla, Manuel Rodolfo; Verdugo Ormaza, Diego Efraín; 0302205349; ., .This research work is focused on the development, analysis and implementation of a mobile weather station to obtain environmental data by means of a drone, based on the collection of information in real time, for which it is required to acquire data at a certain height and in strategic places, which are sent to a database through the same Xbee technology that is used for the transport of information, for this the Arduino card and software are taken as the basis of development, since they provide the necessary benefits for the development of the project in question, for the census of the different meteorological variables there are different patterns, such as humidity, temperature, atmospheric pressure, carbon dioxide〖(CO〗_2) these communicate with the Arduino Fio and functions of wireless communication through radio frequency modules. These acquired data are transferred serially to the computer for storage and visualization, which are observed in real time through a graphical interface, which will help determine certain basic characteristics of the environment where the study is carried out.
