dc.descriptionOBJETIVO: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de instrucción y la Ansiedad Dental en personas mayores de 65 años en la parroquia Gil Ramírez Dávalos de la ciudad de Cuenca – Ecuador, 2017. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: La metodología utilizada en este estudio fue cuantitativo, caso – control, descriptivo – relacional. La población estuvo conformada por 258 fichas obtenidas en la parroquia Gil Ramírez Dávalos de la ciudad de Cuenca – Ecuador, 2017. De las cuales se obtuvo una muestra de 69 casos y 69 controles; las personas que forman parte de la rama médica y odontológica, aquellas personas que presentan algún tipo de discapacidad y quienes no firmaron el consentimiento informado han sido excluidos de este estudio. RESULTADOS: Se determinó en esta investigación que el sexo masculino presenta mayor predisposición a la ansiedad dental; de acuerdo a la edad se encontró que existe una mayor predisposición a los 66 años dentro del rango establecido y en cuanto a la relación entre el nivel de instrucción y la ansiedad dental en personas mayores a 65 años de la parroquia Gil Ramírez Dávalos, con un odss ratio (OR= 1.45) IC 95% (0.7 – 2.9) en donde no se presenta una relación estadísticamente significativa.es_ES
dc.description.resumenAIM: To determine the relationship between the level of instruction and Dental Anxiety in people over 65 years of age in the parish of Gil Ramírez Dávalos of the city of Cuenca - Ecuador, 2017. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The methodology used in this study was quantitative, case - control, descriptive - relational. The population consisted of 258 records obtained in the parish Gil Ramírez Dávalos of the city of Cuenca - Ecuador, 2017. Of which a sample of 69 cases and 69 controls was obtained; thus being excluded from this study the people who are part of the medical and odontological branch, those people who have some type of disability and who did not sign the informed consent. RESULTS: It was determined in this investigation that the male sex has a greater predisposition to dental anxiety; According to the age, it was found that there is a greater predisposition at 66 years of age in the established range and in the relationship between the level of attention and dental anxiety in people older than 65 years of the parish Gil Ramírez Dávalos, with an ODS ratio (OR = 1.45) 95% CI (0.7 - 2.9) where a statistically significant relationship is not presentedes_ES
