dc.description	OBJETIVO: El objetivo de esta investigación fue relacionar el ingreso económico y la indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico en adultos de 45 a 65 años de edad en la parroquia San Sebastián de la Ciudad de Cuenca del año 2017. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: La metodología aplicada fue de caso control, relacional y transversal actual. Se evaluó a 182 personas (104 mujeres y 78 hombres) en edades comprendidas de 45 a 65 años, las cuales llenaron la encuesta DIS. Los datos cuantitativos fueron analizados usando la prueba ODDS RATIO para determinar las diferencias significativas entre el ingreso económico y la indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico. RESULTADOS: Los resultados obtenidos fueron que del total de personas con indiferencia dental un 69% tienen un ingreso económico bajo y un 31% tienen un ingreso económico alto. Según el sexo se demostró que el 57% de mujeres y el 43% de los hombres presentaron indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico. En cuanto a la edad los resultados obtenidos fueron que las edades con mayor prevalencia de indiferencia fueron de 50, 51 y 65 años con un 8-9% respectivamente. CONCLUSIÓN: La relación entre el ingreso económico y la indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico en personas de 45 a 65 años de edad, de la parroquia San Sebastián no fue significativa, por tanto, no existe relación entre el ingreso económico y la indiferencia al tratamiento dental, siendo el ingreso económico un factor de protección.	es_ES
dc.description.resumen	OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research was to relate the economic income and the indifference to the dental treatment in adults from 45 to 65 years of age in the San Sebastián parish of the City of Cuenca in the year 2017. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The methodology applied was of current control, relational and transversal case. A total of 182 people (104 women and 78 men) were evaluated, ranging in age from 45 to 65 years old, who completed the DIS survey. The quantitative data were analyzed using the ODDS RATIO test to determine the significant differences between the economic income and the indifference to the dental treatment. RESULTS: The results obtained were that of the total of people with dental indifference, 69% have a low economic income and 31% have a high economic income. According to sex, 57% of women and 43% of men showed indifference to dental treatment. Regarding age, the results obtained were that the ages with the highest prevalence of indifference were 50, 51 and 65 years with 8-9% respectively. CONCLUSION: The relationship between the economic income and the indifference to the dental treatment in people from 45 to 65 years of age, of the San Sebastián parish was not significant, therefore, there is no relationship between the economic income and the indifference to the dental treatment, being the economic income a factor of protection.	es_ES
