| dc.description | OBJETIVO:\nRelacionar la o\nc\nupa\nc\nión laboral y la \nnegligencia al cuidado dental en adultos \nmayores de 65 años, de la parroquia Bellavista Cuen\nca\n-\nEcuador, 2017. \nMATERIALES\nY \nMÉTODOS: \nLa metodología aplicada fue de tipo cuantit\nativa, el diseño fue caso control\n, \nde técnica \ncomunicacional\n. La muestra estuvo constituida por\n116\npacientes\ndivididas en \n58 casos y 58\ncontroles\ncon sus respectivas \nencuestas\n;\nde \nadultos mayores de 6\n5\naños \nde edad. Los datos se obtuvieron de la base de datos de la Universidad Católica de \nCuenca, a través del programa Epi Info, las cuales fueron analizadas por operadores \nquienes recibieron una previa calibración. \nRESULTADOS: \nLos resultados de negligenc\nia \nal cuidado dental d\ne\nacuerdo al sexo\n;\nse obtuvo \nun mismo porcentaje 50% en ambos \nsexos\ny según la edad los \ngrupo etario\ns que mayor negligencia presentaron \nfue\nron\nlos \nde\n66, 67, y 69 años de edad, con un 17%, para cada rango de estas edades.\nCONCLUSIO\nNES:\nSe pudo concluir que existe \nrelación entre la ocupación laboral y la \nnegligencia al c\nuidado dental \npor parte de los\nexpuestos de \nadultos mayores\nde 65 años \nde edad en la parroquia Bellavista,\ncon un 98%, \npor lo que se \nconsidera importante \nmotivar al \npaciente a métodos preventivos para evitar el desarrollo y progreso de la\ns \nenfermedades,\nmejorando la calidad de vida, principalmente de \nlos adultos mayores. | es_ES |

The sample consisted of 116 patients divided into 58 cases and 58 controls \nwith their respective surveys; of adults over 65 years of age.
