dc.descriptionEn esta investigación se aborda la relación existente entre el Capital Humano y el Crecimiento Económico para el Ecuador durante el período 2007-2016, desde un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo correlacional. El Capital Humano se lo midió por medio de la Población Económicamente Activa con Empleo, mientras que el Crecimiento Económico se lo midió a través del Producto Interno Bruto per Cápita. Se obtuvo como resultado, luego de un análisis descriptivo, que el crecimiento de la Población Económicamente Activa con Empleo para el período, está marcado por el crecimiento de la Población Económicamente Activa con Empleo con educación secundaria. Por otro lado, a través del cálculo del Coeficiente de Correlación de Pearson, se determinó que la Población Económicamente Activa con Empleo con educación superior es la que guarda mayor relación directa con el Crecimiento Económico del país; la correlación fue del 90%, evidenciando de esta manera la necesidad de mayor inversión en Educación Superior.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThis research analyzes the relationship between Human Capital and Economic Growth for Ecuador during the period 2007-2016, from a quantitative approach of correlation type. Human Capital was measured by means of the Economically Active Population with Employment, while Economic Growth was measured through the Gross Domestic Product per capita. It was obtained as a result, after a descriptive analysis, that the growth of the Economically Active Population with Employment for the period is marked by the growth of the Economically Active Population with Employment with secondary education. On the other hand, through the calculation of the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, it was determined that the Economically Active Population with Employment with higher education is the one that has a bigger direct relationship with the Economic Growth of the country; the correlation was 90%, evidencing in this way the need of more investment in Higher Education.es_ES
