To determine the prevalence and associated factors of anemia in pregnant young adults in the area of outpatient in the Base Hospital JIPIJAPA – ECUADOR\nMaterials and Methods: A cross-sectional epidemiological trial where the observational and descriptive method was used was conducted. The same sample was not random at all the pregnant young adult with term pregnancies attending the outpatient Basic Jipijapa Hospital from June-July 2015. The instrument used was a form with questions of instructional variables, sociological variables, variables Study drafted in a clear and simple way so that they were understood and easily answered by patients included the study group results were processed in SPSS version 22.00 evaluation system.\nResults: The study found a 76 % prevalence of anemia in pregnant young adults in the third period of gestation.\nConclusions: The most prevalent factor was the value of hemoglobin -11g / dl , and poor iron intake .
