La responsabilidad social empresarial en las mipymes en Cuenca

Abstract

This research analyzed the factors that determine the social responsibility of MSMEs in Cuenca. It was approached from the positivist and constructivist-interpretative paradigms. A mixed research approach was used with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. A questionnaire was applied to 326 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises selected by stratified probability sampling. In addition, the multivariate method of dimension reduction (factor analysis) was used. The results show that 93.2% of the MSMEs have social responsibility with the environment, 96.3% with human resources, 98.5% have incorporated the interests of society, and 98.5% comply with their tax and fiscal obligations. From the factorial analysis, four factors were obtained that grouped the variables proposed, ML1 named: Internal responsibility and customers, ML2 named: Environmental policy, ML3 named: Responsibility towards society and family, and ML4 called: Transparency and ethics.
