Enfermedad de Crohn con afectación perianal: reporte de caso

Abstract

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) includes Crohn’s disease (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC). Crohn’s disease (CD) is characterized by transmural and granulomatous involvement in any part of the digestive tract and presents periods of activity and remission, its clinical management must be multidisciplinary, due to various heterogeneous or extraintestinal manifestations, which could simulate another type of inflammatory disorder, therefore, an accurate diagnosis represents a challenge in primary care. The development of perianal fistulas occurs between 20 % and 30 % of patients, at least once in the course of their lives, however, 70 % are asymptomatic.
