Adenocarcinoma endometrial seroso papilar: Reporte de caso

Abstract

Background: Papillary Serous Adenocarcinoma of the Endometrium is a type of malignant neoplasm that affects the uterine cavity with an atypical presentation, making it one of the most aggressive pathologies, with a high incidence of mortality worldwide. Case presentation: A 48-year-old female patient is presented. She attended the clinic due to transvaginal bleeding for five months with exacerbations with a foul yellowish discharge. She is diagnosed with Papillary Serous Endometrial Adenocarcinoma, FIGO IA grade 3, which is solved by a hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy along with chemotherapy, and brachytherapy. Conclusion: This case report highlights the importance of gynecological controls and examinations such as Pap Smears and colposcopy as a prevention method since this type of neoplasia is infrequent, with an atypical presentation, and high mortality.
