Efecto analgésico del CBD Cannabidiol para el control, de dolor post-quirurgico en perros

Abstract

The present research work was carried out in the city of Cuenca belonging to the province of Azuay, which was focused on the analgesic effect of Cannabidiol (CBD) for the control of post-surgical pain in dogs, whose objective was to evaluate the pain through the use of three different treatments: T1 control (placebo), T2 Ketoprofen and T3 Cannabidiol, where each treatment was randomly assigned 10 mongrel female dogs with an average weight of 8.28 and a standard deviation of ±1.38 and with an average age of 3.53 and deviation of ±1. 05, which were submitted to a surgical procedure of ovariohysterectomy (OVH) and medicated post-surgery with each assigned treatment, Each experimental unit group underwent a quantitative evaluation based on the validated Gasglow pain scale 24 hours after surgery and the determination of C-reactive protein with the use of the Fast C Protein Reactive test (PCR at 24 hours after surgery), in which if it is greater than 10mg/l it is positive and if it is less it is negative, the patients were discharged after the appropriate evaluations. The results obtained from the analysis of the treatments are Ketoprofen and CBD there is no variation between the two, i.e., there are no statistical differences, so they are highly significant compared to placebo, validating the use of CBD as pain control.
