| dc.description | La ansiedad al tratamiento odontológico es un trastorno multisistémico, complejo y subjetivo, el mismo, que afecta en la consulta, evitando continuar y culminar los tratamientos, además, la relación odontólogo-paciente se ve afectada, por lo que el paciente evita acudir a las citas; por otra parte, existen factores sociodemográficos que contribuyen en el incremento de ansiedad, por lo tanto, este estudio se enfocará en el ingreso económico. OBJETIVO: El objetivo de este estudio fue relacionar el ingreso económico y la ansiedad al tratamiento odontológico mediante el Inventario de ansiedad versión corta (SDAI). MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: El tipo de estudio fue una investigación de campo, relacional, retrospectivo, que se aplicó encuestas a la población de la parroquia, obteniendo un total de 401 encuestados de los cuales se realizó el método de muestreo no probabilístico de manera intencional obteniendo el emparejamiento de casos y controles con 280 encuestas (140 mujeres y 140 varones) de entre 45 y 65 años de edad de la parroquia San Sebastián. El análisis de datos se realizó mediante la prueba estadística Odds Ratio para analizar la relación que existe entre el ingreso económico y ansiedad al tratamiento odontológico. RESULTADOS: Los resultados obtenidos demostraron que el sexo no influye en la ansiedad dental, y el grupo de edad que mostro mayor ansiedad fue el 45 y 50 años, sin embargo, estadísticamente se revelo que la variable ingreso económico no tiene relación con la ansiedad (OR:1.4, IC: 95%). CONCLUSIÓN: El nivel bajo de ingreso económico no tiene relación con la ansiedad, por lo tanto, no es una barrera para acceder a los servicios odontológicos. | es_ES |
| dc.description.resumen | Anxiety to dental treatment is a multisystemic disorder, complex and subjective, the same, which affects the consultation, avoiding continuing and completing treatments, in addition, the dentist-patient relationship is affected, so the patient avoids going to the quotes; On the other hand, there are sociodemographic factors that contribute to the increase of anxiety, therefore, this study will focus on economic income. AIM: The aim of this study was to relate the economic income and the anxiety to the dental treatment through the Anxiety Inventory short version (SDAI). MATERIALS AND METHODS: The type of study was a field research, relational, retrospective, which was applied surveys to the population of the parish, obtaining a total of 401 respondents of which the nonprobabilistic sampling method was performed intentionally obtaining the matching of cases and controls with 280 surveys (140 women and 140 men) between 45 and 65 years of age from the parish of San Sebastián. The data analysis was performed using the Odds Ratio statistical test to analyze the relationship between economic income and anxiety to dental treatment. RESULTS: The results obtained showed that sex does not influence dental anxiety, and the age group that showed the greatest anxiety was 45 and 50 years, however, statistically it was revealed that the economic income variable has no relationship with anxiety ( OR: 1.4, IC: 95%). CONCLUSION: The low level of economic income is not related to anxiety, therefore, it is not a barrier to access dental services. | es_ES |
