Cirugía periodontal compleja en paciente de 17 años. Caso clínico.

Abstract

The periodontium consists of a group of specialized tissues that contribute to the stability and harmony of the oral cavity. In the case of alterations such as caries at the subgingival level in various dental structures, the dentist can restore this supregestal tissue space to restore clinical tranquility, being a complex intervention, especially in young patients with these clinical signs. Its cariogenic risk is high, and its restorative difficulties are complex, so these patients need to be treated by complex periodontal surgery, called gingivectomy and osteotomy. This clinical case aimed to preserve the teeth in the mouth of a young patient of 17 years with subgingival multicaries in the maxilla in the anterosuperior region. At the end of the treatment, esthetics and function were conservatively restored, achieving favorable results and a great emotional and psychological improvement of the patient after the treatment.
