| dc.description | OBJETIVO: El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la etiología de las maloclusiones\ndentales en niños que asisten a la Clínica de Odontología de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca\ndurante el año lectivo 2015-2016. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: La metodología aplicada fue un\nestudio descriptivo-caso control en el que se realizó un examen clínico a 100 pacientes niños\nque asisten por tratamiento a la Clínica de Odontología de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca,\na partir del total de niños atendidos durante todo el año. RESULTADOS: El 100% de la muestra\npresentó algún tipo de maloclusión, siendo 48% de sexo masculino y 52% de sexo femenino; en\nla dentición permanente predominó la clase I con el 49% de la muestra, mientras que en la\ndentición temporaria hubo un predominio del escalón distal con un 38%. El 68% presentó hábitos\norales de los cuales la respiración bucal y deglución atípica obtuvieron mayor prevalencia con\nun 26%, La lactancia materna se presentó durante el primer año en el 76%; durante el parto el\n84% se realizaron de manera normal, teniendo un peso normal el 78% de la muestra. | es_ES |
| dc.description.resumen | OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research was to determine the etiology of dental malocclusions\nin children attending the dental Clinic of the Catholic University of Cuenca during the school year\n2015-2016. MATERIAL AND METHODS: He methodology used was a descriptive case-control\nstudy in which a clinical examination was performed to 100 patients per treatment children\nattending the dental Clinic of the Catholic University of Cuenca, from the total of children served\nthroughout the year. RESULTS: 100% of the sample presented some type of malocclusion, being\n48% male and 52% female; in the permanent dentition class I prevailed with 49% of the sample,\nwhile in the temporary teething there was a predominance of distal step with 38%. About 68%\nhad orals of which breathing and swallowing oral atypical higher prevalence obtained with 26%,\nbreastfeeding was presented during the first year in 76%; during childbirth 84% were performed\nnormally, having a normal weight, 78% of the sample. | es_ES |
