| dc.description | Antecedentes: En un estudio que se realizó en el 2013, sobre “Las prácticas y creencias culturales acerca del cuidado de niños menores de un año en un grupo de madres de Chocontá, Colombia”, concluyen que las creencias y prácticas culturales son parte fundamentales en especial en la etapa neonatal.\nObjetivo: Evaluar la teoría de Madeleine Leininger en relación a las creencias, actitudes y prácticas de las madres frente al cuidado del recién nacido en la parroquia Llacao en el periodo Mayo – Octubre 2018.\nMateriales y métodos: Se realizó una investigación de campo, cuantitativa, descriptiva y de corte transversal, aplicando una encuesta de 37 preguntas, previa a validación por 5 expertos, la misma en prueba piloto a las madres de la ciudadela La Católica, y como resultado se obtuvo el Alpha de Cronbach de 0.76.\nResultados: De las 92 madres encuestadas que corresponden al 100%, según su creencia “El recién nacido está irritable porque le ha dado mal de ojo” corresponde al 77.2%, en la práctica de “Limpiar con un huevo para eliminar el mal de ojo” con el 78.3%, y la actitud “Acude a los curanderos si el niño presenta malestar “con el 87%.\nConclusiones: Con la evaluación de la teoría de Madeleine Leininger sobre las creencias, actitudes y prácticas, se concluye que la mayor parte de la población estudiada aplica cuidados adecuados en beneficio del recién nacido; cabe recalcar que dichas acciones no presentan ningún riesgo para su salud. | es_ES |
