ÍNDICE CPOD COMUNITARIO EN ESCOLARES DE 12 AÑOS DE LA PARROQUIA SAN SEBASTIÁN-CUENCA 2016

| dc.description | Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de índice CPOD y la prevalencia de caries en niños de 12 años de edad de la parroquia San Sebastián en la ciudad de Cuenca en el año 2016. Materiales y métodos: El estudio realizado fue descriptivo observacional, la muestra estudiada fue de 180 estudiantes. La investigación fue cuantitativa por la técnica observacional, los datos fueron tomados por estudiantes calibrados por un Epidemiólogo experto en el tema y a su vez ingresados en la base de datos en el programa Epi Info 3.5.4. Resultados: La muestra del estudio fue de 180 estudiantes 58 % masculino y 42 % femenino. El total del índice CPOD general de la parroquia San Sebastián es de 2.8 correspondiente a un nivel “moderado”, el sexo femenino tiene un índice mayor de 2.9 “Moderado”, frente al sexo masculino que presenta un índice CPOD de 2.3 “Bajo”. De acuerdo a la gestión académica el índice CPOD es superior en escuelas fiscales con 3.1 correspondiente a “Moderado” mientras que en las escuelas particulares es de 1.7 que nos da lugar a un nivel “Bajo”. Existe una prevalencia de caries de 67% frente al 33% sano. Conclusión: Se determinó que en niños de 12 años de las escuelas de la parroquia San Sebastián en la ciudad de Cuenca, predomina el índice CPOD “moderado” con un valor de 2.8. | es_ES |
| dc.description.resumen | AIM: Determine the general level to the CPOD index in children with 12 years old in the parish called San Sebastián in Cuenca city in the year 2016. Materials and methods: The study research was observational descriptive, the study sample was 180 students; they was 12 years old, in the schools in San Sebastian parish in the Cuenca city in 2016. The type of research was quantitative by the observational technique; the data were taken by students; they were evaluated by an epidemiologyst expert, then they entered database in the “Epi info” program. Results: The study has 180 students, 58% male and 42% female. The total of the CPOD index of the San Sebastián parish is 2.8 corresponding to "moderate" level, the female sex has a higher index with 2.9 "Moderate", compared to the male sex that it has CPOD index 2.3 "Low". According to academic management, the CPOD level is higher in fiscal schools with a 3.1 corresponding to "Moderate" while in private schools it is 1.7 that gives us a "Low" level. There are caries prevalence of 67% compared to 33% healthy. Conclusion: It was determined that in children are 12 years old in the schools of the San Sebastian parish in the Cuenca city, predomnated the "moderate" CPOD level with a value 2.8 | es_ES |
