Prototipo ERP móvil para la gestión de facturación e inventario en una hacienda bananera de La Troncal, Cañar

Abstract

This study describes the design and development of a mobile ERP prototype to support invoicing and inventory management at Hacienda Bananera San Diego, located in La Troncal, Cañar province. The organization operates under a shared-ownership model and previously maintained manual records of sales, inventory, and labor, which resulted in dispersed information, delays, and inconsistencies. The prototype was developed using Expo/React Native, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL, using an adaptation of the Scrum methodology organized into four sprints. The solution integrates six user roles, shipment and production management by owner and farm, financial closing with proportional cost allocation, inventory by owner, expenses, work crews, daily wages, weekly payroll, internal PDF receipts, auditing, and offline data entry with subsequent synchronization. The usability evaluation, conducted using the System Usability Scale, yielded a score of 82.50 out of 100 (n = 5; SD = 2.50), exceeding the benchmark value of 68 points. Functional testing verified the main business rules and access controls. A comparison between the manual procedure and the prototype revealed an average reduction of 74.22% in registration time and 91.67% in the number of inconsistencies observed. The results correspond to a single-group pre-experimental design with pre- and post-measurements; therefore, they describe the case studied without allowing the improvements obtained to be attributed exclusively to the prototype.
