“Reacciones adversas post vacuna covid-19 en la población adulta”

Abstract

Introduction: Adverse reactions refer to an unwanted or invasive response of the organism towards the use of a drug, in this case, the COVID-19 vaccine dose. Objective: To determine the adult population’s adverse reactions after the COVID-19 vaccine. Methodology: Qualitative study with a phenomenological design utilizing a systematic review of studies based on the PRISMA method. The search was conducted in different scientific databases, such as Google Scholar, Scielo, ScienceDirect, LILACS, and BVS, with related investigations. Results: The most used types of vaccines, according to the review examinations, are AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Sinovac. The adverse reactions of the AstraZeneca vaccine were; fatigue up to 75.9%, fever at 41%, and joint pain at 48%. Pfizer has produced significant percentages in their adverse reactions presenting fatigue in 59% and pain rates at the injection site. Conclusion: According to the review of articles, it has been found that the AstraZeneca vaccine has been the most used and, at the same time, has produced the most adverse reactions.
