dc.description	OBJETIVO: Establecer la posible relación entre el nivel de ingreso económico y la negligencia al cuidado dental en adultos jóvenes entre 18 a 44 años en la parroquia Hermano Miguel, Cuenca, 2017. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: En esta investigación se utilizó el diseño de casos y controles. Se utilizó la encuesta de Thompson y algunos datos modificados por el Departamento de Investigación de la Universidad de Católica de Cuenca, sugiere que los comportamientos y actitudes con relación al abandono dental pueden ser valiosos para entender los malos resultados de la salud oral y que al ser estudiados se pueden asociar al abandono dental y otros problemas de salud oral, de 444 personas, estos datos se ingresaron en el programa Epi info, se realizó un muestreo por conveniencia. RESULTADOS: De un total de 178 personas, hay 89 casos, de los cuales 78 están expuestos y 11 no expuestos. También tenemos 89 controles, de los cuales 62 están expuestos y 27 no expuestos. A partir de estos datos se determina que el ingreso económico bajo es un factor de riesgo con una razón de proporciones (Odds Ratio) de 3,08 a la negligencia al cuidado dental. CONCLUSIÓN: Con el trabajo realizado se concluye que existe relación entre el ingreso económico y la negligencia al cuidado dental en adultos jóvenes entre 18 a 44 años en la parroquia Hermano Miguel, Cuenca, 2017.	es_ES
dc.description.resumen	OBJECTIVE: To establish the possible relationship between the level of income and neglect of dental care in young adults between 18 and 44 years of age in the Hermano Miguel parish, Cuenca, 2017. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this research case design was used and controls. We used the Thompson survey and some data modified by the Research Department of the Catholic University of Cuenca, suggest that behaviors and attitudes regarding dental abandonment can be valuable to understand the poor results of oral health and that being studied can be associated with dental abandonment and other oral health problems, of 444 people, these data were entered into the Epi info program, a convenience sampling was conducted. RESULTS: Out of a total of 178 people, there are 89 cases, of which 78 are exposed and 11 are not exposed. We also have 89 controls, of which 62 are exposed and 27 are not exposed. From these data it is determined that the low economic income is a risk factor with a Odds Ratio (Odds Ratio) of 3.08 to the neglect of dental care. CONCLUSION: With the work carried out, it is concluded that there is a relationship between the economic income and the negligence of dental care in young adults between 18 and 44 years old in the Hermano Miguel parish, Cuenca, 2017.	es_ES
