Glioblastoma multiforme con metastasis a cuello: reporte de caso

Abstract

Glioblastomas are considered a grade IV malignant brain tumor with a prevalence in men, age and functional status are prognostic for survival according to the Karnofsky scale. They affect the central nervous system, their mortality and morbidity rate is high despite immediate treatment and advances in it, they usually progress within the brain, the cases in which a glioblastoma progresses in sites outside the skull are rare, from 0.4% to 0.5% of all patients, which in turn confers a worse prognosis and shorter survival times
