| dc.description | Objetivo: El objetivo fue determinar los principales factores que influyen al momento de la elección de un tratamiento odontológico en la Parroquia de Tarqui del cantón Cuenca-Ecuador en el 2016. Materiales y Métodos: Se realizaron tanto encuestas socioeconómicas del (INEC) como culturales según costumbres y acceso a tratamiento dental a personas de 25 a 40 años de edad. Estas encuestas fueron analizadas y tabuladas para obtener los resultados deseados. Resultados: El presente trabajo se realizó en una muestra de 367 personas, se observó el nivel socio económico predominante en la parroquia de Tarqui es el medio bajo con 37.06% sin embargo el 35.42%de ellos si ha recibido un tratamiento odontológico. El 50.95% está insatisfecho con los servicios mientras que el 45.09% presentan satisfacción. El 95.64% posee conocimientos sobre salud oral de ellos el 98.09% poseen cepillo dental en su casa, el 88.28% no comparte su cepillo dental, el 51.23% no posee el hábito de onicofagia, y el 37.60% no presentan sangrado gingival. El 69.21%, 34.88% y 18.53%, expresaron que el consumo de azucares, proteínas y frutos secos afectan mucho en la aparición de caries dental, el 8.45% 24.25% y 44.14% expresaron que no afecta y el 22.34%, 40.87% y 37.33% expresaron que afecta poco. Conclusiones: Analizando todos los porcentajes obtenidos se observa que los conocimientos sobre salud oral en el sector no son tan escaso, pero podrían mejorar si se aplicara una mayor cantidad de charlas sobre prevención y se mejoraran los servicios en la zona. | es_ES |
| dc.description.resumen | Objective: The objective was to determine the main factors that influence people when choosing a dental treatment in the Parroquia Tarqui from Cuenca Ecuador in 2016. Materials and Methods: Socioeconomic surveys (INEC) were performed as well as cultural customs and access to dental treatment to people 25 to 40 years old. These surveys were subsequently analyzed and tabulated. Results: This work was carried out on a sample of 367 people, most predominant socioeconomic level is the lower class with 37.06%, however, 35.42% of them received dental treatment. Regarding service satisfaction, 50.95% are dissatisfied with dental services received, while 45.09% were satisfied with their experience. The 94.01% of the population have agree to a dental treatment and 5.99% have not.The 98.09% have a toothbrush at home, 88.28% do not share a toothbrush, the 51.23% of the population do not have the habit of biting their nails and the 37.60% have not gingival bleeding. The 69.21%, 34.88% and 18.53% of the population expressed that consumption of sugars, proteins and nuts greatly affect the occurrence of dental caries. Meanwhile 8.45% 24.25% and 44.14% expressed the consumption of these products do not affect the teeth; and 22.34%, 40.87% and 37.33% expressed that it affects little. Conclusion: Analyzing all percentages obtained in the surveys, results show that there is some knowledge about oral health in the sector, but this knowledge could increase, if there is an improvement of services and more talks about oral prevention are given in the area. | es_ES |
