Uso de Ozanimod para la esclerosis múltiple

Abstract

Objective: To describe the use of ozanimod for the treatment of multiple sclerosis to know the advantages it has over other drugs that are used for the therapeutic of the disease. Method: Descriptive bibliographic review. The consulted data bases were PubMed, Epistemonikos and Cochrane. Last five years clinical trials were selected, in English language. Main results: As result, it was evidenced that Ozanimod has more efficacy than other immunomodulators, except Amiselimod, based on the annual relapsing rate, new enhancing-gadolinium lesions and enlarging T2 lesions detected with magnetic resonance; but its pharmacological safety stands over the other drugs. Mortality of this medicament was 0% in all the studies. General conclusion: Ozanimod is a good alternative for the treatment of relapsing multiple sclerosis, because of its progressive disease preventing potential, symptomatic control and great safety profile.
