Ítem Acceso Abierto Desarrollo de un prototipo de sistema de Información para la gestión de laboratorio Clínico.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023-04) Largo Rodríguez, Stanley José; Jara Obregón, Luis Stalin; 0952470995The development of a prototype information system for clinical laboratory management is an important issue in the field of health. Information systems are essential tools for efficient resource management and decision making in a clinical laboratory. In this thesis work, a prototype of an information system for clinical laboratory management is presented. The prototype was designed and developed following a methodological approach that included the identification of user needs, the analysis and design of the database, the implementation of the system and the performance of tests to evaluate its operation. The prototype of the clinical laboratory management information system is made up of three main modules: the patient management module, the test management module, and the results management module. Each module is designed to fulfill a number of specific functions, such as patient information management, test information management, and test results management. The prototype of the clinical laboratory management information system was implemented using software development technologies such as PHP-JAVASCRIPT-HTML-CSS. The tests carried out demonstrated that the system is functional and meets the user's requirements. In conclusion, the development of a prototype information system for the management of a clinical laboratory is a relevant and highly important issue today. The implementation of an efficient and reliable system will allow a better management of the laboratory, which will translate into a higher quality of service provided to patients.
