With an eye toward a new horizon aimed at long-term sustainable development, it is essential to have a well-educated society with high academic standards. Therefore, efforts must be prioritized to improve the conditions of the educational infrastructure. The resolution of social problems in architecture should be a priority, with an approach focused on the intervention of the affected population; therefore, this research emphasizes the relevance of user participation in the design process of educational facilities and the role of the architect as an interpreter to improve the quality of life through the use of participatory methodologies. Participatory design methodologies were implemented according to the results to be obtained in the studied area. Design thinking is the most favorable methodology for developing this participatory architecture project in collaboration with students and people living near the educational facilities. It guides the design to meet architectural needs, paying close attention to their preferences and requirements.
