Ítem Acceso Abierto Comparación de la eficacia entre las escalas de APACHE II y BISAP como valores predictivos de la morbimortalidad en la pancreatitis aguda(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Huilca Herrera, Sharon Nathaly; Correa Martinez, Fabian Gerardo; 0941445611Background: acute pancreatitis is a global health problem, is an inflammatory process of the pancreas with possible peripancreatic tissue and that produces a multiorganicinvolvement which increases the mortality rate as well as the cost in the care of patients suffering from it Objective: to compare the scales of APACHE II and BISAP as predictive values of morbidity and mortality in acute pancreatitis. Methodology: a search of systematic reviews of the scientific literature was carried out and the databases PubMed, Lilacs, Scielo, Dialnet were used, through structured language based on the descriptors of the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) and the descriptors in Life Sciences Health (DeCS). Scientific articles published since 2018 in Spanish and English were included. Results: studies show that APACHE II and BISAP scales can be used with good results to predict the severity of BP, since they exclude negative cases very well and can be treated more easily without the risk of subsequent complications. The inaccuracies in APACHE II link them to the fact that this scale was not initially created for PA, in terms of BISAP, its simplicity and that they include a subjective evaluation of the mental status of the patient that sometimes has its drawbacks.
